yeah i have a davis 380.i have had it for a while.but it does not have a sear spring in it.and alot of the gun places here in columbus, ohio told me that it would be hard to get one.cause the company closed.so can i get the same size spring from some store or from around the house and use.and will it be safe to use.the weather is really nice out now.and i am dieing to go out to the counrty and blow off some steam...any advise would be helpfull..

I would try the local hardware store. That spring is a simple coil spring. Take a measurement of the hole and try for a spring that will fit. You will have to buy one longer than you need, but you can cut it. You might even have to buy two or three of the same diameter but different tension to get one that works right.

P.S. I suggest not walking into the hardware store with the gun. Measure the hole before going shopping. A spring smaller than the hole should work.

ok see i was wondering if i could do that.but wasn't sure.and wanted some info before i did.so it just wouldn't blow up in my hands.that would not be fun..but thanks alot for the info..

I just looked, Numrich has them for $1.30. Looks like a coil spring, I would try a ballpoint pen spring.
