Watch the Seattle gun tax lawsuit

Would be wise to keep an eye on this legal action by SAF, NRA and NSSF. They're joined in a lawsuit v. City of Seattle over a tax on the retail sale of firearms and ammunition.

I've been writing about this over in my Examiner.com column and The Gun Mag.com (several THR readers there) and will likely write more. This is a direct attack on state preemption in Washington.

People will just buy outside the city limits and not pay that tax. The dealers are the ones to suffer and perhaps go out of business.

One wonders if Bloomberg and Company are really behind this proposal. Sure while one can buy ammo outside of city limits, the real issue is that if it isn't stopped other cities will get the same idea and follow suit. Lets NOT give the antis another win in Washington State and fight this proposal tooth and nail.
