It also comes down to the board, all of them need to go.

They also need to change to by-laws back, that way people can be removed.

They're all guilty of letting the NRA decline to what it is today. I'll be surprised if it ever gets back to what it was.

Colion Noir? He'd get my vote.
I believe he is a lawyer. Which means he's got the smarts and strategic planning skills. He's be a great choice. He's also not a geezer.

I was at my LGS a week ago, it was like Night of the Living Dead, I'm 60 and everyone else in the store, like over a dozen customers, all looked late 70s, or 80s, just old white dudes. If we don't get the younger generations, women, Latinos, Asians, more into guns, civilian firearms ownership in America is doomed.

Here we go, let's play the blame game. Shift the blame to everyone but the people who need to be blamed.

And from an NRA board member!

Anyway, that's from what 2019-2020?

While Wayne LaPierre's debate at Kings College, London, England with Rebecca Peters of IANSA 12 Oct 2004 was imptessive*, I feel LaPierre lost sight of his mission since then. There should be term limits on NRA chief executives.

* Debate question: Should the United States Senate support the proposed United Nations treaty that bans ownership of guns?
Audience Voting Results: Who do you think won this television debate?
68% Wayne LaPierre
32% Rebecca Peters

Sorry I don't know how to post a link. Please make the effort to hear the other side of the story.
I ended my membership with the NRA when my state went from one of the better states in the union on gun rights, to literally the most restrictive in the nation, in the space of the last 5 years.
And I didn't see one single effort from the NRA to object to or inform people of any of the multiple bills passed here in the last 5 years. Not a single commercial. Not one advertisement. Not one effort to combat the gross infringement of our rights as they were happening.

And now there are almost no centerfire semi auto rifles for sale here.

The charter needs to be amended so regular Joe Sixpack members who have been members for five or more years consecutively have the same voting power as more well heeled members with Life or more memberships.

I'm not attacking Life Members or Benefactors with this. Regular members should have a mechanism to be able to vote, and this might urge annual members to keep up their memberships...Win-Win

I feel that my vote has gone unheard for years now and I am a Benefactor member.

The only reason I am a benefactor is that a few years ago the NRA was practically giving away life and then benefactor memberships to disabled veterans . I think the fee was around $300 each time versus the usual $1500.

Actually, it took nine years -- since 2014, when we got the UBCs foisted on us and the requirement for all firearms transactions to go through FFLs.

But, you are correct. The NRA was invisible and silent. Through last year, again, no NRA voices heard, more bad gun laws enacted. Now the legislature, the governor and the AG are fast-tracking a bill to require a permit to purchase, in addition to our new 10-day waiting period (doesn't matter when the BC clears now) and the training requirement to buy a firearm.

I feel that my vote has gone unheard for years now and I am a Benefactor member.
It has been like watching a very slowly unfolding tragedy.

After being a member for nearly 50 years, I dumped the NRA 5 years ago. I did it with a heavy heart but I just couldn't justify continuing to buy WLP $5000 suits. Shifted my money to my state gun rights organization (TSRA), GOA and SAF. If the BOD goes away I'll consider reupping.
