That right there is a mouthful. There are A LOT of new reloaders out there and they are grabbing up anything they can find in the way of powder because they have no powder because they are just starting out.

The good thing, many of those new reloaders will not continue to reload when ammo because available again so there will be a lot of inexpensive reloading equipment and components on the market sometime in the future.
I'm blaming it on you guys who advise the newbies to start out with Dillons and other progressive loaders. They get those things going and Wow! 1000 rounds loaded after supper...and it was FUN! At that rate they can go through 2 or 3 lbs. of Bullseye a week...more if they're loading Unique.

Then they figure they have to buy powder & components in bulk to keep the party going....whether they shoot or not. If they do shoot, they have to burn up 500 rounds in a range session so they'll have empty brass for the Dillon. It's a vicious cycle.

Loading single-stage a pound of powder might last a month or more; partly because reloading s-s is slow, tedious and not that much fun. A range session might cost 50 to 100 rounds, because it will take an evening or two to reload that much.

Once again the American tendency toward excess comes back to bite everyone in the xxx.
I would appreciate it if you wouldn't talk without knowing what you are talking about. I for one have NEVER told a new reloader to go straight to a progressive press. That aside, the press doesn't cause you to use more powder.

You also might want to read the forum rules especially the one about "Creative" attempts to get around the language filter are not acceptable.

Wow. Not even sure what to say about that. That has to be the most out of touch with reality post I have seen here.

It is definitely frustrating to have to wait for our favorite powder to show up at a reasonable price. There are so many variables at work here it is hard to blame it on any one thing.

That's enough for now. :)
