Craig Votes to Uphold the Second Amendment
Says bill was loaded down with anti-gun amendments

WASHINGTON, DC – Idaho Senator Larry Craig, original sponsor of S. 1805, the Protection of the Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, voted against final passage of that legislation before the full Senate today. Earlier in the day, opponents of the bill attached several anti-Second Amendment provisions that Craig considered poison-pills...

His original bill tried to protect us and when it got anti gun crap added to it, he brought it down. He voted against the amendments and tried to pass a clean bill, when that didn't happen - he DIDN'T compromise.

No but we can all email him our thanks.

And if you can spare the money for a NRA, GOA, etc. membership then you may want to contribute that amount to him. He did as much for us on Tuesday as any of those organizations who are specifically dedicated to gun owners.

He demonstrated that you don't have to live in Idaho to benefit from his having been elected. You may not be able top vote for him, but you can help him.

Agreed! I've already sent a "thank you" to him. Hope the people of the Great State of Idaho have the good sense to keep him in office as long as he's willing to serve.

I'm not anywhere near his state .. but I sent him a Thank You note for his efforts with S.1805 .. he puts my lousy Senators to shame ..

I called Craig's office this morning to thank him for his work. I told them that before last week I'd never heard of the man, but that now he has my gratitude. He did a fantastic job of holding back a tide of irrational screeching. We all owe Senator Craig a thank you.

I like the idea of a "thank you" custom inscribed firearm of some sort for Craig. If those of us who were glued to THR for those days kicked in as little as $5-10 it could be a reality. It should be inscribed with "thehighroad.org" to remind him and others of our size and strength. I would also be OK with going in on something with full-auto.com, as long as we also got THR's name on it or associated with it.

Just sent him an email.
If it is decided to present him with a token of our appreciation count me in.

He's my Senator, and he got a letter of thanks from me.

'Course, that's a pretty regular thing.

NightWolfe,

careful there...

"lousy Senators" (TM) is trademarked by the state of California :D

How refreshing it is to see someone with ... what's that called again...?

Integrity

We need more people like him.

I am trying to turn the full-auto.com FAL project into a joint forum effort.

If you would like to participate please post on that thread and let them know you are interested and represent The High Road. I hope that together we can actually make this happen.

count me in for ten bux

I have been out of work for one month due to surgery, started working again this week, the good Sen from Idaho will be getting a thank you note and a small donation from me in two weeks when I get paid

Yup, he is a good one. All our Idaho federal delegation are good ones IMHO.. Larry Craig is a very intelligent person... to intelligent to run for POTUS.

I sent him a letter of gratitude last week. This guy definitely deserves our support!

SteyrAug, I'm in for 10. Is this really gonna happen?
Please keep us up to date.
And yes I called his office to say thanks.

I faxed Larry a thank you. I also plan to send money to his re-election campaign and will donate to any thank you gift we decide to send him.

Remember folks, there are a lot of left leaning folks moving to Idaho because they can't stand to live in the mess they have created up and down the coast. Larry is no shoe in for his next term, and this is the kind of person we need to keep in the senate.

I would also remind you that Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah was rather vocal about his support. We need to show our lawmakers that we will support them with our check books. Money talks bravo sierra walks.
