I have a Browning A-Bolt long action with Warne steel bases. My choices are down to three different sets of rings.

Leupold PRW- I like the fact they're all steel and have a nice dark finish
Warne Maxima Rings- half the cost of the PRW rings, still all steel.
Weaver Sure Grip Windage adjustable- even lower cost than the Warne, steel covers and aluminum assembly, steel cap, finish on the caps doesn't really match anything.

I've used Warne steel bases a lot and have loved them. For the money the Warne rings seem like a great deal. I'm more a pistol than a rifle guy, so I must ask; Is there any advantage to the Leupold PRW rings over the Warne steel rings?

I forgot to mention, this is a 30-06, not a hard kicking rifle. The scope shouldn't really be taking a beating.

Warnes are as good as it gets! If you also have iron sights on your Browning, perhaps QD Warnes would make sense. If not, Permanent ones would do you well. A big plus on the Warne design is that they do NOT scratch a scope. Means a lot for someone who buys a quality scope and may, at some point, end up moving it.
