From reading the indictment, there's really no question about guilt here - these clowns were planning on some major mayhem. Not one single High Roader should "reserve judgement" or pretend that there's a possibility these are innocent angels. They were planning to kill cops. And then set off bombs at those cops' funerals, and then kill their families. These animals should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Sorry but I think we all should not play judge and executioner.
All we have heard is the government case against them without evidence to support it which is far from enough to pass judgement on.

Innocent until proven guilty is the ideal that our justice system is based on and is "the high road" way in my opinion.

Feel free to judge that "if they were actually planning what is claimed" then they should burn in ... wherever.

Your idea that an indictment removes all question of guilt really troubles me. If you ever are wrongfully indicted when you are actually innocent, will you want us to take that attitude toward you?

The only thing I've heard on the radio so far about this is commentators talking about how this group had "heavy artillery" (used to describe AR15s), and that they made YouTube videos about maneuvering in the woods with weapons. Be a shame if they described your typical airsoft game in the same sentence.

However beyond the description of those activities, I don't know many facts yet and I don't think the media has them either.

Looking at these guys website (http://hutaree.com), they had a good deal of cash to spend at the surplus store and the gun store. They also had some time on their hands and a good amount of land to play/train on. I'm honestly kinda jealous.

That camo background on their website is a real eye sore though.

I'm against all fanatical groups. It just happens to be Islamic ones in this day and age tend to have the monopoly on them. Thats not to say that there is not a good deal of other fanatical cults or militias out there that mean to harm innocent people. Of course, we cannot forget Timothy McVeigh, nor some of the weirdo radical hippy miltias, like CHarles Manson or Symbionese Liberation Army. Do I think any better of the Maoist miltias in India and Nepal who go around butchering men, women and children? Nope.

As for me, neo-nazi/white-supremacist groups are every bit as dangerous as Islamic or black panther type of militia groups.

What I originally wanted to know was what crime they commited. I never said they were innocent. I know there is a tendency to criminalize Christian gun-owners. If you don't believe me, hear some of the speeches made by some of our rulers in government. Sorry, that I am bit paranoid and not trusting of the government. That doesn't mean I think they are wrong for raiding and arresting these guys.

These guys do sound like a bunch of whackos from reading the forums on the site. They seem to have deep hatred of Jews and to keep a highly secret profile. They don't seem like TRUE CHRISTIANS in any sense of the word.

I find it ironic that they seeked the help of a muslim guy, who blatantly refused, when the police were raiding their compound.

Anyhow, innocent til proven guilty. I am not taking any sides, scumbags are scumbags of all races, religions, creed. I will see how it plays out.

You really need to click on the "BEAST WATCH" link on the web page. They show a predatory, clawed triceratops and and an angry lion cuddling. They are very worried about implantable chips, and something called the "pre-trib rapture". All in all, the signs of lids trembling before flipping.

I believe the argument is that non-citizens do not have the same rights as US citizens. I suspect you know that but it doesn't support your bashing of conservatives so you need to twist it.

Actually, the Supreme Court has ruled the opposite of what you assert here. About 150 years ago.

If we are to consider 'natural rights,' they are held by all People (which is how the Constitution phrases it- 'People,' not 'US Citizens').
