Greetings,

Does anybody know what the following loaded rounds weigh? It is useful for calculating "real weight" as opposed to empty weight for CCW guns.

.22LR 40 gr. bullet
.22 Mag 40 gr. bullet
.25 ACP 50 gr. bullet
.32 ACP 71 gr. bullet
.380 ACP 95 gr. bullet
.38 Special 158 gr. bullet
.357 Mag 158 gr. bullet
9mm Luger 115 gr. bullet
.40 S&W 180 gr. bullet
.45 ACP 230 gr. bullet

If you have the loaded weights for any of the above, please post. If the bullet weight is different, just include it with the posting for reference.

I know a S&W 360 weighs a lot more than 12 OZ. when there are five 180 gr. Federal Cast Cores living in the cylinder

Thanks,

Hunter

Depends on powder weight. I think there's an Army field manual with weights listed for several types of cartridge cases, though.

Yep, FM 4-30.13 - Ammunition Handbook, page D-0.

Speer GDHP 135gr. .38 special +P

6 weigh 3.0 ounces or 0.5ounces per cartridge
5 (like in my S&W642) adds 2.5 ounces to the weight:cool:
