:uhoh: Yesterday I noticed the only footware I owned was 9 pairs of combat boots(various types), a pair of VB boots, 2 pairs of lowquarters, and a pair of worn out running shoes. The plan was to buy a couple pairs of civilian shoes now that I am a civilian.

The first mistake: On the way to a shoe store I decided to stop by a local gun shop to see if anything new was in. There I find a sweet Ruger .22 revolver that I knew my uncle would like. $340 for pistol, holster, and ammo.

The second mistake: While dropping off the pistol at my uncles place I run into a friend who says one of his friends has some AK mags for sale. Went over to his house and he has 2 thirty round mags, a 50 round mag, and a chinese 75 round drums. I told him I wanted the drum and he asks if I want to buy some AK ammo and a Romanian Guardia AK parts kit. Drum $50, 1400 rounds of Wolf AK ammo $100 and AK parts kit $50. $200 total although the parts kit is missing trigger guard and mag release.

The third mistake: Another local gunshop is just down the road from where I bought the AK stuff and I decide to stop by for just a second. I find a 20guage Remington 870 another friend has been looking for. Haven't seen one for sale around here for a long time and buy it for him as a gift. Shotgun $230, extra choke $20, choke tool $10, and box of shells $5.50.

The forth mistake: Its getting late and I remembered to call Hoplite, Inc. to see if any Remington PSS models have come in yet. I call every month and they never have any in stock. Now they have a couple of extra from a police order. $824.99 with shipping.

All this running around and I still don't have any new shoes.

nothin like new shoes!

If you are feeling that bad, I can take the AK Ammo off your hands!:)

There has to be something in the water here in Arkansas, sounds alot like me, I see, I want, I buy, then I balance my check book, I cry,,,but not for long, a range trip cures me. And then, I begin again...:D

sounds like a great day to me! the only thing you need shoes for is keeping stones and glass from cutting your feet. guns and ammo are way more important! now, go to the range and have some fun. on your way home, buy some shoes. and ammo to replace what you just shot, and.................
