Yep, in a time when a couple ordinary types of ammo have gone through the roof in cost (9mm and .223, for example), it is a good time to pivot over to different calibers for sport shooting that are (temporarily?) less expensive.

Holy crap- $33.00 for .38??? yikes

Uh, yeah, I neglected to mention it was the 100-round "valu-pack." Still ridiculous, but I needed to generic fodder for my day-after-Christmas range trip ...

Boy! I sure am glad that I bought a .40 S&W pistol! I can find ammo all day long. Screw cost, I have about two hundred dollars worth of twenty count HD ammo. Not to mention the FMJ target stuff.
I have a nine millimeter and a three eighty as well but I am ok with ammo for them. I've been shooting and carrying my S&W M&P .40 cal for a while. I am going to pick up a drop in three fifty seven barrel so I can shoot both calibers in one gun.
I'm not looking forward to the cost of it though but oh well, what are you gonna do?

yeah... bulkammo is now completely out of 9mm. nacthessz is out of range 9mm as well. Glad I have 1k rounds of 9mm on the way (for $25/100rds... incl. shipping)

I have probably close to 2k of plinking .22LR and 300rds of CCI Velocitor (for the SHTF scenario).... until the ammo scenario settles down and I can get 9mm again for a "decent" price (bulkammo was selling them for $30 /100rd before they ran out) I will stick to .22LR.
