I know there are a lot of reasons most .380s can not be made to fire the more powerful 9mm but which .380 designs would you love to see in 9mm. There are several .380s that seem to fit my hand so well, I just wish they were in the cheaper to shoot and more powerfull 9mm.

Beretta 85 Cheetah. This is such a sweet pistol, if it were made in 9mm, I would buy one in a heartbeat.

Cold Gov .380. Another great pistol but the .380 cal keeps me from buying one.

Bersas, how about an accurate ergonomic 9mm for about $200? Sounds good to me.:D

Beretta Cheetah 85. Beautiful, ultra-reliable pistol with excellent ergonomics. Beef it up a bit (to give it strength to handle 9mm), give it a locking block mechanism (instead of blowback), and I'd buy one yesterday!

The Beretta Cheetah 85 is my favorite .380, I prefer it even over the Sig P232. One in 9mm would be about PERFECT.

Kel-Tec P-3AT.

I know they are coming out with a 9mm that's similar, but unfortunately it's bigger.

P3AT. It would be awesome if they could just make the gun 1/8" longer to accomodate, but we all know the pressure and recoil would be too much.

Besides, the little Kahr PM9 and KT PF9 are pretty darn small.

+1 to the Sig P232. If it wasn't for the caliber (.380 isn't an affordable or pleasant plinker like the nine), I'd have one. Ditto for the Beretta 85. It'd be nice to see a compact in that configuration.

Anybody know if the gas-piston design used on the P7 is patented? I could envision Sig using it to make a 9mm P230.

They already did the Colt Mustang

Colt made the Pocket Nine for about a year, and then Kahr sued them.
