I recently acquired an Sig P220, case, 5 Sig SS mags & Serpa holster. I was excited about the pistol until I priced ammo at Wally. WW white box, .45acp @ $26.96 vs 14.56 for 9mm:eek:

Now I am thinking I want to stay with just 9mm for pistols. Other than a Glock ( already have a 17 ) what hi cap 9mm would be a good trade?

Walther P99, Styer M9A1, Sig 226, Beretta M9 ??????

I've got an XD 9mm I'd trade for a 220.

Start handloading. you can make lead .45 acp's for about 8-9 cents each versus 23 cents a piece for WWB. Just start keeping your brass!

CZ 75 SP-01. Awesome gun. Kinda heavy, but 18+1 capacity and accurate as all get out. Heck, you can't go wrong with any CZ 9mm, except for some have triggers that feel slightly weird. But, everything's a trade in this life and its never anything that a little tweaking won't fix.

If the larger grip of a 226 still feels good to you I'd stay with Sig. But the others have a good point in looking for other ammo brands. S&B is good clean stuff that is way cheaper here compared to the white boxes. You have a fine pistol in that 220, and I'd hate to see you kick yourself later just because of some ammo prices. Another tip is try not to go retail on your ammo and buy online; you can save even more then.
