My buddy got a "new to him" Glock 17 and there were a few things he wanted done to it. He left it with me for about an hour and I cleaned it up, installed an extended mag release, extended slide stop, and did a nice contrast on all the slide/barrel lettering. He was very pleased.
Well WA I know the reason I got the extended slide stop on mine. So I could clear the gun and lock the slide back for the RO without blistering my thumb. For a working gun it's not nessisary, or even desireable, but for a range toy or competition gun it's nice to have.
The extended mag release is another nice thing to have on the range. You have to really mash the stock little sucker to get it to drop quickly. My 24P came with one from the factory. Something to snag for a field gun and I'd prefer the standard knowing that in a stressful situation I'd be mashing it plety hard
