What are gander stores looking like now?

They were bought out by Camping World.

The owner recently said that if you support the current administration and the Presidents view that rioters on BOTH sides are equally to blame that the loss of your business was just fine by him. He has decided to politicize his business's policy of who they would prefer as shoppers.

It's a long way from the days when Gander Mountain was sending out catalogs as fast as Cabela's and giving them a run for their money.

The new owner is Mark Lemonis who is the 'star' of his own business commentary show on CNBC. I think in the current situation that inviting Trump supporters to go shop elsewhere isn't a particularly savvy business move. ArmorAll and others found out that they only hurt their bottom line deliberately inserting their companies into political debates.

"There's no doubt that there is probably not many consumers in this country today that are in favor of what has been said in the last couple days and if they are, quite frankly, don't shop at my business," --- This from Camping World kingpin Marcus Lemonis on CNBC.

If you support Trump Lemonis does NOT want your business!!! Who am I to argue with such an accomplished person? I will spend elswhere.

Is there a more complete list of anti-Trump companies. I'm pretty selective who products I support. Hitting the a-holes in the pocket book is a good way to send a message.

While a complete list would be nice to know, it changes monthly and doesn't really have much to do with firearms per se. I would offer more people are angry with SIG right now for less reason than Gander. It fits with the anti gunners divide and conquer tactics.

don't waste your time! gandermountain has always and still are crooks! I went in there last October when my store closed and found a pair of bibs i thought was a great deal cause it said they were $80 after a 40% mark down. i went online to see about the waterproof quality of them and they were $80 online at gander.com! I wanted a hunter safety systems harness and they had the all of them marked down about 50% but i needed to wait about a week until payday. when i went back in the newer models of the harnesses were either normal price or only 10% off. Now i wasted a 45min drive round trip, gas, etc for them to switch up prices. We would go out to eat down the road from there so i would swing by and the older harnesses that are usually $100 were going for $25 but the new models were still $100-125 and the next week all 15 or so new harnesses were gone so i ended up with the older model for $45. imagine that, they went up in price again.

I was also told guns were on clearance so i went in looking for a deal. 10% off wasn't a deal at all and then they all were gone! i asked and was told guns aren't going on clearance they will be sent back to the supplier or another store. 2 weeks later they came back out again with 10% stickers on select firearms.

Same here. It is quite obvious that Lemonis agrees with the violence, anarchy, rioting, and extreme anti-free speech actions of the communist ANTIFA terrorists as he endorses their criminal actions by refusing to acknowledge them.

His companies, beginning with Camping World, Gander Mtn., etc., are on my list to "never darken their doors again."

I just sent Lemonis a email tonight saying I would never shop in his gander mountain stores again. I don't go to Good Sam rv parks or go camping but if I did I wouldn't go to their facilities either. Pass the word to your friends, coworkers to do the same.

My local Gander Mountain has been closed for a few weeks if not a month. I don't know if a local shop bought all of their guns or what happened, but a few weeks before they closed all of their guns disappeared in less than a week. I'm talking the walls still full to absolutely nothing. This was when they were still only running 20% off on guns too. Very weird. All I ended up buying was a few boxes of 40 S&W when it was 50% off and some 90% off fishing lures.

Picked up a few sets of Burris rings for $8/pair and thought about a few scopes but not much left at that time and now completely closed.

mine told me they were sending all guns back to the factory or to other stores so they took them all down and then they all went back up with select ones 10% off and then all gone.

Im wondering if this is how buds and others get good deals to sell so cheap.

They don't go back to the factory, that's goofy employee misinformation. CDNN will probably end up with most of them. Or a rather large dealer. If they had marked them all down to wholesale or wholesale plus a minimal mark-up, they would have sold them all.
