The range I go to in Dallas is a lifetime membership fee of $10. Then you pay $10 for each day that you shoot... you can stay, come and go as many times as you like in one day for that $10. I dont go on weekends anymore, too many people for my liking.

Oh, Its an outdoor range too.

3,7,15,25 yard pistol range all with covered benches and lights for night shooting.

50 & 100 yard covered/ lighted rifle range with sandbags.

Indoor Range:

11 shooting lanes , 25 yards
Electronic target retrieval
Heated and air-conditioned lanes

$18 per hour or
1 Year individual: $225.00
1 Year husband and wife: $375.00

For an indoor range at a gun shop, 15 25-Yard lanes, gun rentals (must buy the ammo from them), handgun, shotgun, rifle, and even full-auto allowed:

  • $15/hr for nonmembers; gun rentals $10 (must buy their ammo, more to rent full-auto but i don't remember how much)
  • $100 membership for 10 hours of shooting. no other benefits.
  • $200/year for unlimited shooting, free pistol/rifle/shotgun rentals (must buy the ammo from them), and 1 guest per day at no charge
  • $300/year same as $200 plus no charge to rent full auto, 1 or 2 gun cleanings per year, and an unspecified amount of very minor gunsmithing.
This is all for single membership. As I recall, there was a discount for spouse/family memberships.

Range is 10 min away on BLM land. Since I'm a tax payer... no charge. Bring your own bench and what ever.

Sounds like a real nice facility you have. Probably better than 75% of those out there.

Western PA has a large shooting culture. The state builds and maintains fantastic public shooting ranges, they're free.

We shoot on BLM leased land. It is a couple of miles away, free, and a couple miles long. We have a little bench and target setup there, a lot of people shoot there and never leave a mess. Last time I was there someone left 2 boxes of .308 empties there for whoever wanted them. :)

The Wildlife management area closest to me unfortunately closed the range (noise complaints by locals, I don't know why people would move next to a range then complain about noise).

The range I frequent the most is one run by a local PD and they just ask $25 and donations every now and then for the plywood. They have 7 boards of plywood that they replace if needed every week and they have a basic but nice facility. Pistol area is seperated with a burm from the rifles. still jump when the big rifles are fired. Odds are atleast one person out there is a police officer and not just an employed RO so I've very rarely seen the range scum I've seen at other ranges.

The closest range is run by the state, used to be really nice until the state took over. Now it feels like you're just a head of cattle. no standing or prone shooting ALL shots must be seated and close to the bench, no shooting of large box to pattern a shotgun, all targets must fit inside their 2x4 target holders. Targets changed when siren buzzed. Everyone has to be behind the red line.... blah blah blah... been there once because of hunting season and was eager to see how my new rifles fired. Will never go back.

The best range i've been to I only shoot competition in action pistol and I believe it was $15 for entry in last competition that last around 5 hours.

First price is for county resident, second is for non resident. Only problem with this range is that it has very limited hours. Indoor handgun range, outdoor rifle range with a cover, uncovered shotgun trap. Rifle up to 300 yd.

Day-use $8.50 $9.75
General Pass $75.00 $95.00
Season Ticket $125.00 $145.00
Traps (per round) $5.50 $6.00
Range Transfer: Day Use $4.00 $4.50
Range Transfer: General Pass $2.00 $2.50

I just joined a very nice outdoor private Shooting Range here in Las Vegas, and membership is $150.00 a Year.
