My Taurus PT-145 Millennium Pro handles recoil extremely well. It's a real surprise to hear that the 9mm version has a problem there. Mine is also very accurate out to 25 yards. To that distance it shoots as accurate as any handgun I own and I have some good shooters. I'm alwasy amazed at how well it shoots to be a compact pistol. And follow up shots are very easy since I get no muzzle flip at all and if I bend my elbows just slightly I can absorb the recoil in my arms and it feels like I'm shooting a .22. My Sig P220 feels like a .44 magnum compared to the Taurus. And to think it holds 10+1 rounds in a package that I can cover with my hand is just amazing. Add to that the fact tht I have never had a single feeding or ejecting issue or any issue at all except for one round that didn't fire on the first strike (it will stike the same round twice or as many times as you want until you eject it if you give up on a round). I went to buy a Glock that day but couldn't find one I liked. Glock ergonomics just aren't for me. That's OK. I paid about half of what I would have paid for a Glock ($320) and I don't see how I could have gotten a better gun. The dang thing is almost perfect. The only thing I didn't like was the sights and they were easy enough to change.
I'm about to talk myself into carrying that gun more but I like the .40 S&W round for several reasons. Plus there's the fact that my XDm holds 16+1. But it isn't nearly as accurate as the Taurus. Taurus doesn't always get a hit but the knock it out of the park pretty often. Most Mil Pro models are very nice guns based on the reviews I've seen. And I researched it a lot before I bought it. Like everyone else I thought it might be a POS. But the LGS owner gave me a 30 day try out period. He knew I wouldn't be bringing it back. I knew it too after I shot it a few times. As long as it didn't fly apart on me I was keeping it. I'm still going to kep it in fact.
