Is it just TN, or does anyone else notice a rhythm to the woods and wildlife?
Every thing is dead quite till dawn twilight, really wakes up for about 45min, birds, squirels, Turkeys, you name it. Then there are cycles about every hour or so when everything is just dead quiet for 15 min or so. I've observed this almost every time I'm the woods of a morning. This has also often been the time when a deer will materialize out of the brush behind me where I wasn't expecting it to. Anyone else notice this?

From the weekend after Thanksgiving til Jan 31 you'll find me sittin in one of my shoot house's from 4PM til Dark 5 nites aweek enjoying the view and wondering what the little woman has fixed for dinner tonite. Plus a hot fireplace.

Not having to work as much.
I hear that!
For some unknown reason the place where I work has decided to close the entire week of Thanksgiving this year (paid, too. :)), so I plan to go hunt on family land in W. Virginia (where I've never been) as Thanksgiving week coincides pretty well with their short deer rifle season this year.
I'll probably never get this chance again.

Squirrel opened up 9/1 and I've only been out a few times with the Benjamin Trail .22 cal. air rifle. No luck yet. Looking forward to getting out on my friend's land with the CZ-455 in 22LR, as his property seems to hold more squirrels. Also awaiting the start of deer season so I can use the illuminated reticle scope I put on the 30-30 last year. As of last year, we can now deer hunt a half hour before & after sunrise/sunset. Didn't get a low light opportunity last year, as I filled an antlerless tag with it at 3:23 P.M. in broad daylight. Played with it in low light and like it; now if I could actually get a deer at first or last light with it, I'd be happy. That would be the main thing to look forward to this year.

It has always seemed to me that the "real world" is the world you described in the quote below:

The world where all of that "BS" you wrote about exists never has been "real" to me. Nevertheless, I hope you have a wonderful time, and you're able to completely escape the "BS" of that other world (whatever it is) for a while. :)

that is a wonderful way to look at it!
Very well said!
