What Are Your AWB "Panic Guns?"

No gun purchases other than the G-20SF that i had ordered a few weeks ago. And i was really lucky to have found some spare hi-cap mags for it just before Natchez's (and everyone else's) stock ran dry. Also got a Lone Wolf 40 conversion barrel for it.
I have also bought a few rounds of ammo at gun shows and local retailers.

I'm buying a old wooden boat for duck hunting. It's not in very good condition, but it is cheap. I thnk I have found a good duck hunting spot in some really deep water with a muddy bottom.
Any body want to go duck hunting with me? We'll need shot guns, rifles for defense against alligators, and I never go anywhere without a CCW or three.
Be careful Nak you might have a boating accident and lose all you guns.hehe
 
Since i started this thread i was thinking daily on wat i wanted (not a panic gun..i just wanted another). I finally decided on an AR in 9mm and got this Colt from Gun Broker last night (i'll be getting mags and a slidefire stock (Maybe an Eotech):

I was really leaning towards getting an Arsenal SGL-21 but now I don't know if I can justify the price...
 
Nothing really....

I did pick up a Chinese SKS barreled receiver earlier this month for 60 bucks. I had all the parts in my parts box to put it back together. Shoots just fine....chris3

Not buying any guns. I did buy 50lbs of lead diving weights to keep me on the bottom of the river while I'm dredging for gold. In a SHTF situation I can melt them down and make bullets. Does that count???

Also, I sold a car just the other day for cash and a new Colt GCNM in stainless. So, I guess that's my Christmas/AWB gun.
 
I've sworn off any purchases (my New Years Resolution) until June and then I'll reassess the situation. I honestly don't believe that much will happen legislatively, and I think that, as with many things, this too shall pass.

Well, ok, if a really nice Walther P1 comes along at an irresistible price, then I have an escape clause in my New Years Resolution, but other than that....
 
No panic buying at all. I had originally planned to spend a bit of my Xmas bonus on a stripped lower and start building my own AR, but by the time I had the cash in hand there were no lowers to be found. So when I stumbled across a Norinco JW-15 in good shape while visiting family in WA state, I snapped it up. I figure it will make a fine can slayer and gopher getter. :)
 
When the panic started I shifted my priority from a S&W Model 10 to a CZ P07. I went out one day to check the town for a CZ. I came to the last store of the day and they had a S&W Model 10 with the original box for only $350. The CZ can wait until another day.

Congrats on the Christmas gifts! Let us know how they shoot. No marked up guns for me; panicking just isn't my style.

I've bought a few since the AWB expired in '04 but they were mostly 22's & NFA items.
 
No buying. I have everything that I want and more guns than I can shoot. got ammo, parts, tools. I am good.

Sounds like me. I've been buying and selling guns for 40 years and never buy because of panic. Never been an AR guy or big on any semi-auto stuff, so that is not an issue. In fact I'm probably more of a cowboy type when it comes to the guns I like. Ammo, some parts or tools are more important for me now.

I bought a beater Ithaca M37 and a French MAS 1873 revolver, if those count ;). Both for 150$; methinks the other buyers are distracted, for now :D
