My favorite is the
Baby Eagle ( an upgraded CZ-75)
92 F Beretta (never thought I would like this pistol, I was wrong)
Sig P938 for carry

1. BHP (all around sd/hd/competition go to for everything 9mm)
2. Luger (a fine collectable, a finicky arm)
3. HK P7 (wish I had one, as they are seriously intersting and well made pistols.)

1) Browning Hi-Power - A Classic in Hard Chrome, the best gun finish ever!
2) CZ-75B - My first 2 CZs didn't work out, but this third one is a charm!
3) Gen3 Glock 17 - A fantastic gun that shoots great with every type of factory ammo I ever used with it!

CZ-75
Glock 26
S&W Shield
Sig SP2022
Glock 34

On any particular day, for any particular purpose, three of those five will be my favorites that I own. The 26 and Shield are my usual carry guns, the other three are range use normally - but all are able to fill either role as needed.

The only 9mm I've owned that I just didn't enjoy was my Ruger LC9. I disliked it enough to sell it, making someone else happy.

1927 DWM Luger
HK P7
Glock 26
Chinese Broomhandle (detachable mags 10&20 rds)
Sorry about going over, but that's all I have, unless you count .357's, .38's, .380's etc.

In order of preferrence

1- Colt Combat Commander rebarreled to 9x23

2- Colt Government with the complete Colt 9x23 conversion kit.

3- Browning Hi Power (T series serial number)

Honorable Mention:

P-08 Luger 1937 Commercial Model

Detonics SS Mark 6

S&W Model 559 (yes, 559 and not 459 or 659). Only 2500 made.

@ RollTideRoll - As I remember, Auburn rolled over the Tide in the last Ironbowl. That's okay, we're all friends here and we won't hold it against you! :D:D:D WELCOME TO THR!

Glock 19
Marlin Camp 9. Ok, it's not a pistol but I like it! P.S; i have one for sale, with the original box if anyone's interested.

Well, I only have five 9mm's, so it shouldn't be too hard. :)

My top three are:

- Ruger SR9c. A ccw dream. Not a pocket pistol, but conceals great w/good holster.

- CZ 75 compact. Just ordered my extended base pads today. A finely made machine!

- CZ 75 BD (Police). A safe queen so far, but it'll shoot like the compact. Great ergos.

What two didn't make the list? A Kel Tec P 11, and a Sigma. DON'T LAUGH! I like them, too. :)

I loved my old camp carbine. I'd love to buy yours, but I'm tapped out. And I bought a Hi Point carbine last year, which is really kind of cool, believe it or not.

Sound like some great guns!

Mind if I ask what the problems with the CZ's were?

Best wishes.

  • SIG P239 SAS
  • Glock 26
  • Walther P1
I have a Beretta Nano that I carry sometimes because it's thinner than the Glock, but I have to say that the Glock is a much more comfortable gun to shoot, at least for me.

What 9mm guns I shoot the most:

RIA 9mm 1911 Tactical
S&W M&P 9mm C.O.R.E.
S&W Shield (used to be Kahr CW 9 until the frame broke and their lack of customer support caused me to switch to the Shield (which I already shoot way better despite shooting various Kahrs since ~2004)

1. Ruger P89... just picked one up a couple of weeks ago and wasn't expecting too much from it, but it is one sweet shooter and completely addictive! Definitely my favorite 9 as of right now.
2. CZ 75 or clones. I have a witness elite match that is simply awesome.
3. Beretta 92. Of course it helps to have a nicer one than the junk in the arms room.

Absent a mission or specific role I need it to fill:

Luger P-08 because hold one in your hands and tell me it ain't great
Double stack 1911 in 9mm (e.g. Para 18-9)
CZ 75b

That would change if I had some specific use in mind.
