I really need to get out and shoot more it's been a while since I have been to the range.
One of the problems is the kings, queens, and their supporting bourgeoisie have declared my city and state along with every decent normal person to be their personal toys to rule and play with as they please with absolutely no concern or regard for their lives (think Marissa Alexander.).
Shooting at the range means I have to travel usually 50 to over 100 miles to a free state or half free state that allows people to rent guns and/or use shooting ranges without the threat of felony charges and/or incarceration hanging over their heads followed by loss of employment and income.
It sounds like a great way to increase the welfare rolls with otherwise decent productive hard working people who pay taxes (well maybe payed when they had a decent job and could) and support American ideals.
Well despite being expensive and very inconvenient I do support the states and ranges that support our constitution by traveling to them so I could spend my money for a few hours of relaxation while shooting in between the hassle at the ranges that I patronize.
It is worth it and I am quite happy everytime I get the chance to shoot.
hopefully I can continue to buy guns-- the morons in my state(CT) are obamas stooges who us e our state as a test grounds for the rest of you
IF my (very common )name is on that darn No fly list..I cannot buy guns and even worse...in the end..they may decide to confiscate the guns and ammo I have paid for with my hard earned money for everyone elses safety.
Yet I was vetted and given a pistol permit that proves I am not a treat to anyone nor am I a criminal
I want to pick up a .357 revolver. I know it is crazy that I don't have one. Almost un-American.
I don't really know exactly what yet, just somewhere in the 4ish inch barrel range. May end up with a Blackhawk or a Vaquero.
I'll likely trade a Sig 2022 towards one, but will add cash to it if the right deal comes along. I've been on a wheel gun kick.
1. Learn more about Pre-lock S&W revolver values.
2. Pay more attention to Pre-lock S&W revolvers at gun shows and shops.
3. Get set up to reload 38/357 so I can afford 1 and 2.
Hopefully pick up a CMP 1911...
I need to get a .357 lever action also.
I've got a dozen other guns I'd be interested in buying, but those are 2 I will most likely get in the next couple months.
Assuming am able to,pay off debt from 5 months unemployed in 2015, I'd like to take a training class (I take at least one or more a year). Contenders are Thunder Ranch for mid range rifle, Bill Rodgers for his pistol, target system, Ayoob for MAG 40, and Gunsite for pistol 250. I've been to Thunder Rance before but not the others. Good to have options.
Finish putting together my AR10, stock up on 30 round mags for my AK47 and AR15, stock up on ammo and pick up another concealed carry gun. Oh and stock up on ammo.
I plan on catching up buying the minimum number of mags for pistols to feel comfortable. After inventorying them all a few days ago, I'm 67 mags short, which isn't too bad considering that's at 5 mags per handgun for over 100 handguns. Unfortunately, those 67 mags are going to cost $24-40 each.
A number of years back I got completely out of ARs sold all my guns, extra barrels and parts and started to run AKs as a my primary firearm for training.
Well at the beginning of this year I was in my favorite gun shop when a case of Anderson lowers came in and I jokingly said if you got one with the numbers 666 in the serial number any where I would take it. Well it just so happened one did have the last three numbers of 666 so I bought it and 665 cuz you can’t just buy one.
The reason I wanted 666 was to make an evil black anti California/Feinstein gun so I built an AR pistol with BCM 11.5 hammer forged upper, KAK extended buffer tube with a sig brace, flashlight and slant grip and I refer to it as my “FEINSTEIN SPECAL”.
So you ask what this has to do with 2016 gun builds/projects, well you know the second one I bought 665 well it got built into a pistol as well and sense then with the price of ARs and their parts being low this last year I have picked up 7 more lowers (total of 9) and I still have 3 more guns to build.
So my project for 2016 is to gather parts and build the last 3 once I figure out what I want them to be.
The lowers are put together and I did some trading for a unfinished 10.5 barreled upper but not sure if I want to keep it that way. I also pick up a couple of scratch and dent BCM upper receivers on Black Friday but I am not sure if I want to go different calibers or stay 5.56. I would not mind a 9mm build and looked at the 300 black out and 458 as well but I am just just not sure.
So my projects for 2016 are to finish my three AR builds and not to buy any more AR lowers.
I need to finally get my reloading up and running.
Shooting more with my daughter is a big goal since we bought her an M&P 15-22 for Christmas last year and haven't spent a lot of time with it. I would also like to buy a new Ruger SR22p, maybe the new long barrel one, to teach the daughter the finer points of handgun shooting, though I could probably use one of the Woodsmans for that.
As far as guns I want to acquire, I need another Glock, Probably a 40 MOS and maybe a 42 or 43. I would also like a good bolt action .22.
All in all, this has been a bad year for my shooting habit, with the wife being jobless and somewhat disabled, money has been a bit tight but I anticipate better things for the coming year.
There's definitely guns I want in the new year, but more than that I want the financial freedom to buy a house where I can build my reloading bench and get a bigger safe. If I keep filling the one I have, I'll never have the money to do this!
