What are your next 5 gun purchases?

1) a Beretta 92 to match up with my CX4

2) a 357 mag revolver to match up with my 1894---this one is really wide open as to exactly which model. It all comes down to my financial situation and what I can find and like.

3) I still don't have an AR

4) LCR2 in 22LR

5) I've been without a 38 spl for a long time, so maybe a nice older model 10
 
Probably going to get 3 more Friday. Already have. Sig 226 Elite and. Riley Defense Ak47 sitting in layaway. Saw they had a Beretta A300 on the shelf might as well grab it as well
 
Right now I would just like to have a simple 20 gauge, single shot, shotgun, made 1980 or before. After that a 16 gauge. And, after that maybe a 28 gauge. Ok, Ok, I'm a different kind of gun nut. Or maybe just a nut. But that's my wants right now.
 
No guns, but my new Rem 700 compatible trigger came yesterday. Now I have an action, a trigger, a stock, rings, scope, just need a barrel when I get my pennies saved up again
 
I've been on a .22LR kick lately --so would like a revolver of some kind--be it a Single Six, Bearcat, SP101, GP100, 617, 317 etc........

Had a Single Six but the barrel was too long for my tastes---so off it went, nothing wrong with it otherwise

I was thinking about this thread and was wondering what did I knock off and is there anything I would change?

I bought the Rowdy and I'm happy that I did. A few other additions that weren't on the list.

I have narrowed the #1 down to a S&W 69
The new addition to the list bringing it back to 5 is a Glock 29.

How about everyone else?
 
For sure, the next two will be a Henry Golden Boy and a Smith & Wesson 648 both in 22 WMR. I haven't thought much past that. An M14 would likely be next up with an engraved over/under sometime to follow.

I did pick up a 243 Axis with the closeout deals, so at least I bought something I guess. :D

1) 44 mag revolver (super redhawk more than likely)
2) 1911- probably desert eagle/ magnum research (.45 auto)
3) Good bolt action 22lr
4) Benelli nova 20ga
5) “huntable” precision rifle build (300prc most likely)

This was my list when this thread was started, since then I have picked up the BFR, Uberti and S&W 27. Still working on the Anaconda and Henry.

I guess I need to add three more to the list to replace the ones I bought…:D:

#3 S&W 8 3/8” .500 S&W
#4 Colt King Cobra Target
#5 CZ 12 gauge hammer coach shotgun

A bolt action rifle for my spare 5-20x scope. (Been putting this off for years, because it's a worthless toy)

Well, thanks for bumping this thread. Was very interesting to see what I wanted in 2020 and how I did. As it turns out…. I bought 4/5, but they probably weren’t my “next 5.” Though maybe close.

I got the AR, in late 2020 I think.

I got the Garand(s) from the CMP in September 2021.

I just ordered the flintlock rifle kit about a month ago. Maybe I’ll receive it in a couple months.

And I did get a Rolling Block, maybe in late 2020.

……and funny enough, I did place a bid on an FN 1900 on Gunbroker just the other day, but didn’t win it as it was borderline on what I wanted to spend.

So overall I give myself a pat on the back for consistency and follow-through. I wonder if my wife would agree :rofl:

Agreed - interesting to see how things went over the last 2 years.

I did run into a deal on an unfired 10/22 with scope and case. Also got a Smith 25-5 and a 5" GP100 in .357 (that one was unplanned). Picked up a Rossi 92 clone in .45 Colt back in 2020, so I guess that counts.


Everything else was already mentioned. I guess I did pretty good.
Still no Blackhawks to be found after all this time.
Have only run into just a couple of used Vaqueros...

Boy, was that first sentence the most honest thing I've ever said....
I did end up getting the TC Benchmark, which is the only thing checked off my list. I've since cooled off on the Red Label and Colt Commander (got a different 38 Super that scratches that itch). My desire to own a wartime 1911 has changed to pre-war Colt. The 1100 will likely be next as they're not hard to find, just gotta commit to spending the money.

Since my initial reply to this thread, I've rediscovered how much fun it is to shoot really accurate .22 rifles and have dedicated most of my gun funds toward more of them.

Got an email from my uncle's wife who had my uncle's old Remington Model 11 shotgun along with two 45 ACP pistols (1911 guns) which had belonged to her father. She wanted me to have them. Occasionally a neighbor or friend will mention to me availability of a gun. If it's something I may like I make an offer or just buy it. No way in hell I can forcast what my next gun will be, let alone the next five. I can sum it up well though with Que Sera Sera. :)

That was August 31 of 2020. During the past year I got a super clean Remington Rand GI WWII .45 ACP which came along. Including original holster.

I also ended up with another little 3" Kimber in .45 ACP. So as I mentioned if something comes along that trips my trigger I buy it as long as finances allow. Really happy with the GI .45.

Im about done buying. I do want to get a 32 cal wheel gun. With a 4 inch barrel or longer yet. Im shifting gears now to upgrades on some of my guns now. Rugger 10/22 is done now. Some optics swaps are in the future too.
 
Next five? I am not sure of the next one, or if I will buy another gun at all, I seem pretty well equipped.

If I did, it would be a super duper striker fired 9mm to take advantage of the IDPA SSP increase in magazine capacity from 10 to 15 rounds. My friend's XD 5.25 with PRP trigger is nice. But I will try the Division with my Plastic M&P first.

I think I have bought seven firearms this year...only one, a Marlin .44Magnum lever action carbine was planned. The others just sort of wandered out in front of me and followed me home.

Thought I would check back in on this thread and see how I did.

I did pick up the Dan Wesson .41Mag and it is a great revolver.
Never got the others I mentioned to this point.
I have bought several other guns that I stumbled over including a Taylor's .357Mag lever action carbine so I did scratch that itch.
I bought a nice Rick Island 1911 in .45ACP that I didn't really "need" but it looked like it needed somebody to give it a home. Also bought a BlackHawk in .30Carbine about a year ago.
Probably bought a couple other guns as well just not sure if they were after my original posting on this thread.
Currently have a Piettta SAA clone in .45Colt on layaway at a LGS. I have several other SAA clones in .45Colt as well as other calibers, so I really don't "need" this one but actual "need" rarely factors into my firearm purchases any more. It is usually a question of want or stumbling across something that catches my eye.

I've got a custom flintlock duelling pistol on order, supposed to pick that up in August. A Shiloh Sharps percussion carbine also on order.

Others? Depends on what I see at the World Muzzle-Loading Championships. Possibly a repro matchlock pistol, possibly a repro wheellock pistol.
