I've recently come across some decent deals on a few handguns, but factory magazines are becoming scarce.....namely my new Beretta 84fs. I've found some MecGar 13 rounders at CDNN and have ordered 3. I've heard of them, but have never used them. How are they? Quality or junk? For <$30 each, it won't be my expensive lesson.

Function and quality of Mecgar magazines has always been top notch in my opinion. They make many OEM factory mags for other gun companies, you wont have any problems with Mecgar products and they stand behind what they sell

Cz uses em for their pistols. Bought an aftermarket. It was marked MecGar too. No problems

It is my understanding, please tell me if I am wrong, but most modern guns that come with mags that read "made in Italy" are using Mec Gar mags. I believe my Sig 2022, Ruger LCP both use them.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy them.

Something that really opened my eyes
Kel Tec - factory mag, Mecgar...
they changed it a few years ago to Pro-Mag (my range mags) but for a low pricepoint gun to buy Mecgar mags, wow, showed me their commitment to quality.

That they are OEM with so many manufactures, US and european...

100% satisfaction across a wide array of pistols. Not one single complaint yet and the quality has always seemed higher than the prices might have suggested.

The factory mags are MecGar mags in a number of makers' semi-autos. I have MecGars for 3 different makes, and all are indistinguishable in function from the shipped factory mags. As others have said, buy them with confidence.

No problems.Have them for Sigs,Walthers,BHP,1911,Luger.They are the OEM for many of the gun companies.

I have 5 of those for CZ-75 great magazines and less expansive than original.

Here is a partial list of companies Mec-Gar have made, or make OEM magazines for.

AMT, Armscor, Astra, Beretta, Bernadelli, FN Browning, BUL, Charles Daly, Colt, CZ, IMI, Kel-Tec, Kimber, Llama, NAA, Remington, Ruger, Sarsilmaz, Sigarms, Smith & Wesson, Springfield Armory, STI, Standard Arms, Star, Steyr, Tanfoglio, Taurus, and Walther.

I have Mec-Gar mags for almost all my autos. I'm almost certain all my Berettas have factory Mec-Gars...even the ones that say Beretta. Mec-Gar is located in Italy.

I have used them for different gun for maybe 20 years now. The only thing I have had to do is replace a few old mag springs with new springs from Wolff, but that would be true for ANY magazine in use that long. Pop in a new spring when they get tired, and you are back in business.

My only Mec-Gar marked mags I own are for my Hi-power, and they function %100 and look better than the factory Browning Mags (even if they are still Mec-Gars) For the money, they are the best thing out there IMHO.

I've got to the point I only buy Mec-Gar magazines. Top quality and never a problem for me. They are a good benchmark to compare all other brands to. The others fall short.
