competitions that try to emulate actual combat situations - practicing for such things is one thing - doing it to prove you're better at it than someone else doesn't appeal to me
hearing how bench rest shooting is a joke - it isn't - it's not real world shooting but it has a valuable purpose which is improving accuracy which works it's way down to all firearms
