cz p0-1

1. confident it will go bang each time I pull the trigger.
2. I can hit a fairly tight grouping with this gun not under pressure :p

Makarov loaded with hot handloads - why because it's small enuff to pocket carry powerful enough to be confidence inspireing and good enuff to get me to my Colt 1911 .45acp, S&W 5904 or GP Ruger if need be or my SXS 12ga.

Usually my Glock 21sf loaded with Winchester Supreme Elite JHP
or my Glock 27 with Winchester Supreme Elite JHP +P
or my Taurus Judge Ultra-lite loaded with 5 rounds of Hornaday 45LC JHP

None of them have any safeties to worry about. I just wake up, point & shoot, then ask "Who's there?" ;)

ARMSCOR/Charles Daly 1911 full size, with 3 USGI mags

loaded with Remington JHP's.
I also rely on a Mossberg 500 and an old Chinese SKS at other places in the home.

These are 3 of the most reliable firearms I have ever owned.

mark

NOTE: I'm not "religious" about the 1911, but I started shooting them back when they were the US service pistol, and I got to like them over the years - have 2 now, both Daly's.

Which ever one I am closest to when the need arises (RIA Tactical-45acp, SR9-9mm, S&W-38spl, LCP-380, 870-12ga, Ruger MKIII-22lr, Walther P22-22lr, SKS-7.62x39). They are in various locations throughout the house. But.... they're not all autos.

PRIMARY:

•Glock 21SF
13+1 Winchester PDX-1
w/ Sig Sauer STL900L Tac light/laser/strobe
6c6d0743.jpg

Logic: It's a high-capacity .45, extremely reliable, only need to get past the safety #1. The STL900L is a great all-in-one tool for HD. Light, laser, strobe. Pick what you want, based on your tactical situation. Daytime: laser. Night: Strobe light... Or nothing at all. Either way you have the option of 3 tools in one.

BUG:

•Kel-Tec P3AT
- 6+1 Winchester Silvertip
w/ no-name LED compact flashlight

Logic: Its better than a baseball bat! :D

hk usp compact .40 two extra 12 rd mags loaded with speer golddots with a streamlight m3 light. it's light, reliable, and the .40 s&w is a potent round that offers more capacity in a pistol it's size versus the .45 acp.

I have a Taurus 24/7 40 S&W on my nightstand. I keep it out for home defense because I shoot it very well and it has over 1000 rounds through it without any FTF's. I know some people have had bad experiences with Taurus, But this particular pistol has been 100% reliable and is very accurate. I carry it often so I definitely trust my life to it. I also keep a Mossberg 12 Gauge close by if need be.

XD-40, its proven itself reliable over the course of 3500 rounds, fits my hand like a glove and points very naturally for me. No other pistol I've held feels this good in my hand and I've held plenty.:)

This: with 14 rounds of 230 gr hollow points and I'm getting a light for it :)

Hmmm! When did you pick up that POS?! Hahaha I should have gotten a comission on that sale! Well, I guess I did with the price they gave me on the PPS. ;)

As far as a light goes, you already have one! Just get it fixed! :neener:

Either my .357 revolver or my S&W 410S....

Why? Because I can hit what I shoot at, every time with then... given the distances in my home.

xd-9sc

Wow, this is an old thread.

I have a few that have served the purpose on and off including a couple of .45s.

I had purchased a G17 Gen4 as a HD gun for the capacity but it has been unreliable, even after sending in back to Glock. I am sorry I ever bought it.

My current one is my xd-9sc. It has the has the 16+1 for HD plus 3 additional 13 and 10 round mags as spares.

It doubles as a carry.
