If I am really worried about something, and I want an autoloader I get a M1A out of the safe and put in a 20 rnd mag of 150 grn softpoints. That is the autoloader I use for my home.

For general not really expecting problems, a P7PSP.

Wow, hard question. I've got several laying through the house in verious places. That is so where ever I'm at, I can just pick one up.
They consist of; M1911s, Walther PPK, a Taurus 92 and even a S&W revolver.

I use a Glock 34, with 19 round mag (loaded with Speer +P 124 Gold Dot Hollow Pionts), and M3 light attached... It works for me.

Since I will never have a problem with any uninvited guests, I don't worry about it. Actually, I think that's my wife's philosophy; she looks at protection as MY job. I wish she'd take it a little more seriously, especially now that we have a 21-month-old son. My Makarov, loaded with hollow points does the duty, along with my S&W Model 19. Why do you ask?

a revolver

Right now I have the Glock 27 with night sights in the lock box that travels from bedside to car depending where I'm going. Don't even transport the Glock to work, so most of the time it stays put. Might sell the last of my Glocks this yr (27 and 35) in which case my Colt DS will occuply the lock box, and in the closet lock box will remain my S&W 66+. In middle of the night, I prefer to have a revolver.

The closest one for obvious reasons, and it'll usually be a P-11 or M1991A1 with my bias being toward the P-11 'cause it's DAO.

USPf in .40, because it's the gun my wife shoots the best and is most comfortable with.

Depends.

I have a loaded firearm in a concealled, bolted-down, locked strong-box in just about every room in the house. The gun that I'll reach for will depend on what room I am in when I need it -- ranging from a Beretta 92 to a S&W4006 to a Para C14-45LDA ... etc.

I also use a Glock 30. I've owned many Glocks and they've all been reliable, and my model 30 is no exception.

Plus 10rds of 45acp in an accurate, compact package.

I will use either My Colt MkIV Ser 80 STS, or My Kimber Stainless II, The wife uses her Colt 1991A1 Commander, everybody carries 230 gr Hydrashoks, knock nicely before you come in:p

I use a Walther P99 chambered in 9mm for HD. Why its been 100 percent reliable and accurate in my hands since day one with no FTE, FTFs of any sort.

I am also field testing a Sig P226 at this time. Its also reliable but I'm not as accurate with it. For Lighting I use a Surefire 6p
