Near the web of my right hand, I have a spot about the width of an airsoft pellet from shooting my Mil Spec. The scar is a result of the sharp edged grip saftey I believe as the hammer comes nowhere close to my hand when cocked.

My right big toe is black and blue from my dropping my Loaded 9mm on it during a failed malfunction rehearsal (I was dry firing).

I have an old scar (can barely be seen) on my left thumb from loading an sharp edged SKS stripper clip from a few years back.

That's all I can think of at the moment. How about you?

I have a scar from getting shot with a BB gun when I was 8. (It is under my hair so you can't see it.

I got powder burns on my face from a case failure in my 22-250. (No scaring)

Apart from some occasional web damage - used to be hot loads thru my first Redhawk - main deal has been thumb!!

I gets a whack if in wrong place in my Hakim (strong spring and heavy bolt) and even the FAL can be ''unpleasant''!

I am lucky with semi's - never yet been bitten and so far have not had the ''slide part-amputation'' problem ;)

I have a brass-sized scar ... um ... somewhere under my blouse. :uhoh:

Injuries

When I was much younger, I sighted in a deer rifle one year while wearing a slippery nylon jacket. You guessed it, the butt slipped off my shoulder and I caught the 'scope and took the recoil above my right eye. Bled like a stuck hog. Wiped off as much of the blood as I could and finished sighting in the rifle.

Shooting bullseye pistol, my feelings have been hurt time and time again by bullets that felt like an X or a 10 when the gun went off, and turned out to be a 5 or a "Mr. Completely" when the target comes back. (Mr. Completely is Mr. Murphy's brother-in-law.) Oh, wait, that's me hurting myself, not the gun hurting me!

hahahahah ,
can you show us a wide angle pic of that one Pax....lol

i have a bb gun scar on my left bicept from 25 years ago and only got bit once from my buddies wather ppk s. although i do have a scar on my chest and forearm from my exwife who flipped out and attacked me with a steak knife for something i said. that was fun, but thank god for divorces or we wouldnt have any waitress's.

the worst i've ever had is a fairly bruised shoulder from firing 400 rounds through my AK in one session. I need to get a stock pad for it, but cant find one :cuss:

I have a scar above my right eye from a jumpy scope, I swear it had it out for me! :neener:

Otherwise I just have a sore palm from slamming mags home after a day at the range. I also get those little cuts everyone seems to get.

Many years ago I once had a scope shear off from the mounts on a 629 when I was shooting some rather 'stout' handloads. Damn thing blasted me in the forehead and face, knocked my glasses, hat, and ear muffs off leaving me with a nice gouge above my nose that bled quite readily! For a second or two I thought I shot myself somehow or the gun had blown apart. I was still holding it in my hand and just staring at it when I realized the scope wasn't anywhere to be found - it ended up about 15 feet behind me!

I have a few circular scars ala chicken pox un my right cheek from the SP-1 I bought after boot camp. It's not always easy being wrong handed!

I got a bruise over my eye from a scope that had too little eye relief for the cartridge. I got a cut years ago from the first autoloader I ever fired (no scar). I once got a blood blister folding up a bipod, and last but not least, my 7mm WSM has given me several excellent bruises.

Had an aftermarket muzzle brake blow up on the end of a Mosin, suffered broken glasses, lacerations, black eye and a huge headache. Lost vision (not total) for a few days in the injured eye.

Well.....

...my wallet used to be a lot thicker, so now whenever I sit down, I sorta list to the right.

:(

I had my hand too close to my enfield's bolt, and accidentally dry-fired the gun. My thumb was caught in the bolt (cocking piece), and was purple for the better part of a week. :(

Rem 597 ejected some hot brass down between the collar and the soft skin on my back. The shirt was tucked in giving it a few extra seconds to burn. There was a long red line from near my neck all the way down to about kidney level. I don't tuck in any shirts anymore on or off the range.

I was peppered in the eyes with the spray that comes out from around the revolver cylinder. Saftey glasses were worn, but somehow some of it still got past the glasses.

Colt AR ejector bolt slammed shut on my pinky during cleaning - twice, and once on my index finger.

I received a 1st degree burn on right palm attempting to catch the same Colt AR (which was falling) after continuous firing. Quick reflex put my hand at approximately 3" below muzzle.

I have a scar on the web of my hand from 'Walther bite'.

My hands get cut up all the time during cleaning, disassembly/reassembly. Not too long ago I took a nice chunk out of my finger while disassembling my SKS. It basically took off a wart that was on my finger...a lucky accident.

I've been bitten by the majority of my guns. My fingers and spring-loaded parts don't seem to get along too well. Ejected a hot spent shell from my K-31 straight into my forehead and ended up with a moon-shaped cut (hint: don't tilt a K-31 back much when you're ejecting a spent round); most of mine have been dis/re-assembly injuries, though.

That darn CZ-52 slide assembly just absolutely explodes on me if my screwdriver slips while compressing the recoil spring. Sporting a current gouge on my left hand from that one. Cuts on the occasional sharp part and pinches have been the most common.

Those brass cleaning patch-jags with the sharp barb don't hesitate to barb me as quick as a patch. I've learned to keep close track of the end of the cleaning rod when it's sporting one.

nice job,,,,saves you the co-pay on going to the doc to get it burnt off.

No kidding Palerider...

I had this one for years before eroding it away slowly with that over-the-counter filmy crud, then 'slice'. Smooth as ever now.

split thumb web from a mossberg persuader loaded with 3 1/2 mag goose shot from the hip shooting trees in half at 4 feet... lead frags in both cheeks from poorly timed old revolver... more lead steel and copper frags from a mis-fired m-60 (not by me, but 3 feet from me) that splattered bullet fragments(hit the interior side of ship) to the cheeks and forearm... scar on kneck from .223 brass... scars on hands from changing hot .50 and 60 barrels, and from slamming the feedtray of a -60 on my hand while doing blindfolded clearing, loading and firing drills. scar on forehead from friend throwing .44 mag shells into bonfire... one case shot out and cut me on the forehead... I'm glad I wear spectacles...

Have you ever got one stray wire to go up between your fingernail and nail bed? I had that happen.

Sore thumb from loading a magazine with very stiff springs.
Bashed thumb from using base of magazine to push out slide stop for field stripping - and missing.

Three scars. 1.) M-16A1 (before brass deflectors) threw a case that hit me in the nose that left half round scar from case mouth. 2.) Burn scar from M60 on back of neck from a hot spent case while I was A-gunner (minute man). Both compliments of U.S.M.C. 3.) Above right eye small scar from scoped .308 Remington from a friend of mine.

I pinched the crap out of my hand driving a mag home, and I had a hot .45acp casing get caught between my glasses frame and my face. Burned me bad enough to cause a blister, but fortunately, no scar.
