Well, the title says it all.

I just got into reloading, for my first run of things I went over to Cabelas and picked up what they had - mainly Berrys bullets.

I am guessing there are better deals out there, what is the best bang for the buck ?

Reloading for my 9 and 45, for plinking purposes as of right now.

Thanks for being easy on a noob.

A lot of folks here are gonna say Rocky Mountain Reloading. They are a vendor here on the board and they have a quality product at a fair price. Just had a bag of .223 from them come in last week. It's good stuff.

As thr member enjoy your discount code for RMR, Missouri Bullet, etc. Also a quick Google of your caliber and fav. bullet wt will be able to show more than my one post. Good luck, welcome to the club and keep your powder dry!

I've loaded thousands of Berry's and Xtreme bullets for the 9 plinking loads. Work well for me.

I second on Berry's and Xtreme bullets they work great for me I never have tried Rocky Mountain Reloading I will try them out soon.

I have used Berrys in the past, worked great. Now using Xtreme, the only hitch with Xtreme is they only tend to ship on Fridays and it's spotty when they ship, ordered a week ago, still waiting for order.
I will be looking at RMR, always heard good things about them.

I've used Berrys, MBC and a couple of others. Now I shoot MBC only except for 9mm Largo.

RMR puts out great products. I've used their .380, 9mm, & .45 plated bullets, 9mm FMJ, and most recently their "Thundercast" LSWC's in
.44 magnum.
All were as described and shot well.
Be sure you compare prices including shipping and any taxes or fees. I've found RMR to be lower priced than most and of outstanding quality.
If plinking ammo is your need, watch for their occasional specials on "seconds" or even "thirds" once in a while. You'll save significant money if you happen to catch those deals.

I have had excellent results with bullets for Rocky Mountain Reloading (RMR) and Missouri Bullet Company (MBC) Both companies offer THR members a 5% discount with the code. (codes in the start of BDSs PIF thread here)
MBC offers both coated and uncoated bullets. I have shot both (they did not used to offer coated) I think the coating is worth the few extra $.
Depending on weight MBC can ship 2000-3000 bullets for about $15, RMR includes shipping gin their price.

In 9mm my current go to practice bullet is the RMR 124gr FN andf I am using their 230 RN in .45.

Thanks for putting this all in one easy to find thread for me, I appreciate the info!

I will report back soon - my Media gets here Monday, my press gets here Thursday! I am excited!

X-Treme took 11 days to get a box of five hundred 147 gr plated RN to me.

RMR took 3 days to get me a bag of five hundred .224 FMJ-BT. Plus the THR discount, plus they shipped free. And with the bag was a thank you note.

With my tongue planted firmly in my cheek.....

You'll find more freakin' kinds and brands of bullets out there than you can shake a stick at, and in certain calibers it can be bewildering. But welcome to reloading! It's tons o' fun, and a whole 'nother aspect of the sport.

I have been extremely happy with RMR.
Not only do they make great bullets, they have great CS as well.
Prices are good, shipping is fast, and THR discount is a great bonus.
I mostly use 124gr 9mm plated from them.

Pietro Beretta, one thing for sure. You picked a couple of the better calibers to start with, IMO. A good variety of bullets, powder, and load data. :)

be very very careful when loading the berrys bullets light. I recently loaded some of them in .38sp light load and stuck a couple in the barrel of my .357 6.5" bbl. that mistake cost me some $$$ at the smiths that I don't want to make again. they shoot fine out of my snub however. load the berrys to the HIGH end of your lead data.

RMR (Rocky Mountain Reloading) makes a premium bullet called Hardcore Match. The plating on their bullets is sufficient to load with jacketed bullet data and not cast bullet data.

I shot a 9mm 115 gr RMR bullet thru a bowling pin and it came almost out the other side. I pulled it out with pliers and the copper jacket was 100% intact. Need we say more?

Discount code for RMR is thehighroad5 and you must type it in the order comment box along with your THR ID.
