Hey all,

I just came into possession of an Interarms Star Model 28M (9MM). I really don't know much about them. I've been searching this site and have come up with some info about the Star pistols but nothing on the Model 28M. It works fine and has probably 85% + blue. I originally intended on selling it and picking up a .38 snubby for my daughter. However, she seems to like both pistols and I may consider keeping it instead.
Doe's anyone know how much a Star 28M is worth? What about durability when compared to a well made .38 snubby? How about part availability?
Any info would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Star is a defunct company and is no longer in business. The upside is the M28s are built like tanks and will likely outlast you so parts are not likely to be an issue. As far as worth I couldn't find one on the auction sites but I did find several M30s that were selling in the 300-400 dollar range depending on condition. Personally I really like Star pistols. My brother in law has had one for many years and its a great shooter. I say keep it!

My favorites are the Star BMs, PDs, etc.....I wish they would go back in to production.
