What Cheap, But Decent 22LR Ammo for Plinking in Buckmark?

HI, I just got my new Browning Buckmark and was wondering what is some of the cheapest, yet decent ammo for plinking with the Buckmark? I was wondering if I can find something around 0.03 a bullet. I see some people selling the Blazer, CCI and CEnturion stuff for around 0.04 a bullet. What are people's opinions about these brands? I was told a Buckmark will feed and shoot anything , but I don't want ammo that will be real inaccurate. Should, I just get the cheapest stuff I can or does anyone have any special suggestions? I was going to check out my local bi-mart next week to see what they may have in stock, I was told they have deals. Gun broker doesn't seem to have anything for .22 ammo, it really sucks, usually the selection is better.

I have a buckmark, it will feed and shoot anything I've tried so far. Best thing you can do--buy one box of every brand you can find, and shoot them in your gun. See which is most accurate.
What is best in mine, may not be best in yours.
Federal 510's, Federal Automatch, Remington Golden Bullets, Blazer, CCI minimags, all good.

I shoot mainly Federal 550 bulk out of mine with out any problems, the only thing it didn't like was CCI Standard, really picky with that but not sure why.

The one I had (note past tense) was very picky. About the only thing it would feed reliably is CCI Mini-Mags. I had no luck with any brand of bulk ammo - so I sold it. The .22s I have now (Mark III, and Mark II 22/45) work well with Federal bulk and Winchester 333...

4Freedom, Both of mine shoot everything except Winchester HV. Niether of them will cycle properly with the HV's.

I also like Federal bulk but I own a 10/22 which is a tad more picky but for price that or winchester bricks are great

minimags are the best for mine but are on the pricy side. Federals came in a close second. The bulk packs gave me issues

The wife and I shot about 300 rounds of Wally World Federal 550 bulk through my brand new Buckmark just this Friday. Not a single problem. The wife absolutely loves that gun.

I was at Vance's in Columbus Ohio on Friday and they were selling the Winchester bulk packs for $19.99 and they had a whole pallet.

I thought $15.99 was high the last time I bought it. If you have it I guess you can charge what you want.

My BuckMark has cycled anything I've put into it.
I generally plink with Walmart Federal 550-count bulk or CCI Blazer. Both run through my BuckMark like butter. I get an occasional fail-to-ignite with Federal bulk in any gun, but not with Blazer.
I stocked up on both when Walmart had federals for $13.99/550 and Vance's had Blazers for $14.99/500.

About a year ago I quit trying to put anything through mine except for mini-mags, after problems with bulk packs. Range time was just too short to deal with a problem every other mag.
However, it is about time for me to try bulk again. If I were you, I'd run mini-mags for awhile, but YMMV.

I just picked up a Buck Mark Hunter model and ran a couple of hundred rounds of Federal bulk through it this past weekend. It all worked and cycled just fine. I also ran 50 rounds of mini mags through it at the start, just to provide it with the good start right off the bat. It's a heck of a fine and impressive pistol.

I feed mine a steady diet of Federal Blue-Box bulk .22's (Match or Champion, or some other hoopla like that) ever since I got my Buckmark. Accuracy is notably better then the red-box wally-world Federal, no feed issues, and at ~$25 a carton, price seems fairly spot on for 525 rounds. I guess its a little more expensive then red-box, but it consistently gives me groups that are a good 1/3rd smaller, each time, every time.

Federal Bulk is the best for informal stuff, CCI for hunting and target shooting... I bought some of the Federal Automatch and it ran fine for a while and was very accurate for the price but in cold weather, it hang fires! Click...Bang! Not cool at all, so the rest of that box remains unfired....

How cold was it when you experienced hang-fire? Just curious. Are you sure it was the ammo by trying different brand at the same temp?

I use cheapo Remington bulk gold .22lr. Never had any problems in my Buckmark -should still have a brick of it at home.

Unless you seriously need to put food on the table, or are in competition, buy and shoot the cheapest ammo you can find and which will reliably cycle for you.
