I'm always interested to read other like-minded people's training priorities. So, what classes are you planning to take next year and why?

For myself, I'm going to focus on some more Tactical Medical classes. Being able to patch holes is just as important as being able to make them.

If you end up in Albuquerque I would take your class.

Might know one or two other folks that would be interested.

Probably not enough business here in New Mexico to make it worth your while, though.

What is the difference between a Tactical Medical class and Self Aid and Buddy Care?

Hopefully, I will take:

LFI 1
LFI Advanced Handgun Skills 2
LFI class with Jim Cirilo

I say those only because they are quite close to me. I'm near Chicago. :uhoh:

I'm taking:

English 10
Chemistry
Weight Training
PE 10

At my high school. English and PE are required, the other two I chose.

I would like to try to take a Frontsight, two day skill builder class once every month this year. If I actually take six, it would be surprising. I need to take handgun and shotgun at least once. The remainder would be practical rifle.

I have been thinking of taking at least one sleep away class this year. I don't know what it will be. I would kind of like to take Gunsite's Practical rifle class. Maybe Gunsite's second tier handgun class. I took 250, whatever the next level class is. I need to be registering for that class right about now to make sure I reserve a spot and give me time to buy any gear, but I am broke as a joke.

I'm planning to take Front Sight's empty-hand defense and their edged weapons classes. I've been putting them off for too long, and now that I've been living in China for almost a year now I REALLY regret not taking those classes before I left the US.

The other classes will likely be primarily handgun classes as my wife has expressed great interest in learning to shoot handguns. We'll be taking classes together at Front Sight when she gets her visa to the USA next year :D I'm really looking forward to that, as I've learned that my wife is ambidextrous! :what:

I've been slacking on training in favor of competition for the last year.5 or so. I plan to remedy that this year.

Gonna depend on the finances, but I'm hoping to do the TRI Fighting Handgun/FoF Scenarios classes when you guys visit PA in May. Also probably do at least one handgun and one carbine course at SFI, just as a refresher.

I'm also going to be shooting between fifteen and twenty big practical matches this year, so I haven't quite given up on the gaming... ;)

Chem 112
MMBB 154 and 155
Psyc 101
Core 105

And 4 or 5 more undetermined classes in the fall.

Sorry, nothing firearm-related. :(

I would like to take as many firearms courses (especially a SG class) as I can get away with. I've been toying with the idea of taking a SCARS class.
My department has other priorities for me and is intent on sending me to supervisors classes instead.

I'm taking urban rifle and a two day tutorial at Thunder Ranch in July (not looking forward to the drive to Oregon from Arkansas). Flying would be faster, but that would greatly limit how much gear I could take with me; not to mention the hassle of flying with firearms and having my ammo shipped separately. I would hate to make it to TR only to have my luggage lost and/or my ammo not show up. I'm really kicking myself for not taking more classes when they were still in Texas :(

no gun classes planned (see pax' thread)
kosho-ryu kenpo about 12 hrs/week

- Whatever the Finnish Defence Forces throws at me, most likely zero days of reserve service... a couple of voluntary weekends will probably happen, training others in small arms.
- Weekly IPSC club matches and training April - October.
- Half a dozen military 3-gun matches.
- Half a dozen weekend seminars in martial arts.
- Red Cross first aid 1-3, time to get refreshed but good.
- Weights twice a week.
- Karate 2-3 times a week.

Multivariate Calculus, Differential Equations, Quantum, Thermodynamics, Electronics, Electricity and Magnetism, Numerical Analysis.

I try to get a class or two with a new instructor every season (in addition to continuing on with favorites). This season, I am hoping to train with Louie Awerbuck, Greg Sullivan, or SouthNarc.

I suppose my training priority at this point is breadth of instruction. I am still just beginning.

My hiking partner and I have a 16hr 'wilderness first aid' class scheduled for later this month, which is slightly relevant, I guess. :)

I hope to be able to take this year:

Tactical Repsonse FOF
Suarez International CRG, ECRG and 1 day shotgun

and if I get a Rifle like I am planning on
Tactical Repsonse Tactical Rifle

I'm looking into EMT-B classes at the local community college. I'd also like to take a driving course.

Defensive Handgun at Shootrite
Starting grad school (Counseling Psychology) in June......BTW- The GRE sucks big-time.

I would love to take a good SG course as well, but there aren't many in my area and my work schedule is about to go bonkers due to my accepting a new position with my current company.
