2023 was a slow year for me due to getting into H&K rollers in 2022.

A good friend gave me a no dash 66 that he hand engraved before he died. After he passed his wife asked me to help her price the rest of his collection. She had a broker coming to buy everything she didn't want to keep. I used GB completed auctions to give her a ball park price. She gave me his Cetme for helping her.

The only gun I actually bought in 2023 was the parts to put together a retro AR. Finished it late December, sent the form 1 off to the ATF on Dec 18th, and got approved on Dec 30th.

Bought several guns in 2023 - most were fair deals. A couple were a little high, but I was still happy.

My 2 favorite that I aquired are the
3" 625 and the 325 Night Guard (seen with my 625JM)
I probably overpaid for them, but You don't come across them often

2 guns stand out as decent deals
$375- gen3 G19 with 3-15rd mags
$250- Rem 870 express with 26" Remchoke barrel and 3 boxes of #8

that a nice Set of Guns you acquired! that engraved 66 is amazing

I had a great year and acquired a few "Illinois legal" firearms.
I got a longbow with a high capacity quiver...
A blow gun with a short barrel. And silencer.....
And a fully automatic slingshot.
.....all registered, of course.

Just one, in October...a 1946-ish S&W .38/44 Heavy Duty. Original stocks/grips numbered to the frame. Not functioning correctly, a bit of rust inside, bent ejector rod and pin, and other issues.
Working on resolving all those issues (with some help) and will be shooting it regularly, soon.
Loading up some proper .38/44 fodder for it in the meantime.
