What do you call it?

It is basically a variant of the AR. It is over 90% parts compatible. It can be used on any of your existing AR lowers. Basically the only parts that are different are your gas block, gas tube and bolt carrier key. Some other items may not be compatible like hand guard but many are. What about:

ARWP- AR with Piston
ARGP- AR gas piston
GPAR- Gas Piston AR

Not here to argue the action just to agree on a name. If you will post suggestions I will creat a poll in a few days to see what is most popular. Please even if you don't like the piston action you have to agree they are here to stay.

I love my POF also but I want an LWRC upper. So I need to be fair to all.

Trust me, you won't like it as much...plus, IIRC, it vents the gas outside, vs feeding it back onto the barrel, in our POF's. And their barrels ain't as nice...

Yep, see here for what i am meaning, they really just ripped the AR-18 (tappet type i think) gas sytem and shoved it on a '15.

Also, they add parts vs the normal AR, they have some extra springs and whatnot. The POF actually has less parts than the normal AR. On the upper at least.

Ooooooh, OUCH! That's just not right.

XCRs are okay, but they really need 2 or more screws keeping the barrel on.

Have an LWRC m6a3 in 6.8 that I like very much. The piston system is clean and I didn't notice any gas blow by in my limited firing. I'm still pretty new to it, but it seems like a well made product.
