Now that I feel very comfortable that my new Kahr PM9 is totally broken in(422 rounds thru it now) I have tried 124 grain plus P short barrel Gold Dots which were reliable in the pistol but after using a box of the Winchester 147 grain PDX1 that were just as reliable I found the pistol using these is more controllable with follow up shots.
And, since everything on the internet must be true as if it came from the gospel from on high, I had read that the 50 box count, more for less cost,of the Winchester Ranger Bonded 147 grain were the same ammo as the PDX1,which it CLEARLY is not, works just as good as the PDX1 in the feeding and accuracy.
But I am still a little nervous living in a big city of possible over penetration of the 147 grain and may give the Hornady Critical Defense a try.
Since my Kahr just seems to grind up any ammo I feed it I sure the CD will operate fine in it.
So for now still experimenting but I do like those 147 grains.
