Well.......

I just found a bunch of Winchester 147 Gr. PDX1 at a local Bass Pro for a very good price. Very controllable recoil and they feed through my PM9 without a hitch with some nice tight groups.

They shoot the same as the 147 Gr. American Eagle FMJFP through my PM9 so i'm gonna switch.

I like this ammo.

well I live in a part of the world where choice in ammunition is pretty limited . Personally I like to take new ammo to the range and fire some of it into a wetpack , see exactly what it does , I prefer soft hollow points that breaks up into several pieces once it hits the wetpack , note I prefer shooting it , I would not prefer to be shot with it :what:

Lots of federal 9bple +p+ users here, that gives me comfort that I made a good choice. I got it cheap too, 50 rounds for 20 bucks.

twogun,

Just wondering where you lived that your choices were so limited.

I'm in Bloomington, IN and I was only able to find quality ammo if I drove 60 miles to Indy. Have Golden Sabers now...Got lucky at Walmart and found one box of 50 Win 147gr personal defense rounds about a month ago.

oh , I live in south africa , in the countryside to make things worse. I geuss if I drove into the city ( 350 KM) :scrutiny: I could find some good ammo , but I have found some cheap stuff , and i mean cheap , that really does a good job when it comes to killing a wetpack :neener: so I decided not to bother

Wow...you are out there. So all the wetpack in your area better watch out!! :what:

:rolleyes:yeah , I'm a wetpack serial killer , at least that is what some people here must think , considering how many 'wetpacks' I have shot up , my experimenting has lead me to believe that cheap serbian ammo , sold here under the Highland Axe label , is the best choice if you like your ammo to take several different routes through your target

Hmmm...good prices on that sebian ammo? weight? and this is non-jacketed stuff?

115 gr JHP highland HX , sorry don't know where the axe got into my head :uhoh:,
made in serbia by PPU , Cameron sports Imports , that is all I can get off the packaging.
Like I said very soft and breaks apart as soon as it enters the wetpack causing massive internal damage which in my humble opinion is much better than a bullet that stays in one piece and goes right trough. However the blood loss would probably be less , but internal bleeding would be a LOT worse , on that wetpack off course.:neener:

124+P or 147 although I also just picked up a few boxes of 127 +P+.

I voted 124 as that is what is loaded right now (+P Gold Dots)
