The question I am asking is "what do you want to happen pertaining to firarms and our free society?". I want to see ALL states open their ccw reciprocity. I believe that it should be a federal CCW insted of a state to state. I ld like to see more positive press ( they wat I grew up) about teaching people to use and respect firearms. I grew up in the south, firearms used to be a way of life no matter which party you supported. My sister grew up with the same trainning my brother and I did. She put herself through school (as an audiologist)working as a park ranger at the Bad Lands National Park. They were amazed at her shooting abilities, she even out shot quite a few of the local Highway Patrolmen that used the same qualifing range. I would like for more people to realize that while it will probably always be a male dominated sport, that women can also prove themselves as some of the finest shooters in the world. Please lets keep it positive and share how you would like to see thing change or progress in our way of life or sport, which ever you call it. Thanks

I would like to see all of our elected officials and the media understand what "shall not be infringed" means.

^^^^ditto.

I'd like the masses to understand the difference between "assault" rifles and modern sporting rifles.

I would like open and concealed carry on all public premises, I would like the qualifications for owning, carrying and buying firearms to be nationalized to states can no longer decide whether or not their citizens deserve the rights that should be afforded to them, and most importantly I would like to see the Hughes Amendment repealed allowing for the purchase of modern machine guns.

I want to see ALL states open their ccw reciprocity. I believe that it should be a federal CCW insted of a state to state.

Heck, I'd at least like to see CCW in all 50 states first. (with crummy-ole Illinois still being a hold-out)

I want the federal government to stay out, and the states to get out of regulating the right to keep and bear arms.

IMO I'd like to see the entire NFA repealed pronto. I still refuse to give my money to the NRA for supporting it.

I'd like to see the GCA and NFA repealed completely, as well as removing all permitting requirements for ownership, carry and sales. (of course I'd also like to see the death penalty mandatory for all violent felons removing the need to forbid felons from owning firearms in the first place).

Provided we maintain the practice of "acknowledging" those individuals who voluntarily surrender their RKBA by engaging in prohibited activities and being caught and convicted, and provided we continue to decline gun ownership to those with a demonstrated and documented mental limitation that makes putting a gun in their hands an undue risk to themselves and others, the Second Amendment is the only gun control law we need.

Having ratified it, the several states are party to the Constitution. "Shall not be infringed" applies to them as well.

The U.S. open up its gun trade with the entire world. Would be refreshing to see something different than ar's and ak's.

I agree with RailDriver. There should be no permitting system to allow open or concealed carry. I believe the 2A states "Keep and bear arms".

We have the keep part down, but the bear part is still wanting. I should be able to carry a firearm anywhere I want without asking permission from the government to do so. I don't think there should be "gun free zones" at all.

Also, the NFA'34 and GCA should be repealed. What part of "shall not be infringed" do some people not understand?

Vermont is a paragon of adherence to the spirit of the Second Amendment. It's no coincidence that a recent study also concluded that it is the safest place in America. Incidently, the least safe states in the study were those with the most gun control. All states should be modeled after Vermont. Even if it is run by a bunch of hippies. I'll take hippies over overbearing statists any day.

I believe that it should be a federal CCW insted of a state to state.

Absolutely............NOT, NEVER, NO WAY

Once the feds get involved, it is doomed - the feds have never had one national program work - EVER

Besides, IF you got your wish, it wold be determined by the likes of Schumer in NY, Pelosi in CA, and similar folks - there would be so many new restrictions on where you could carry, the CCW would be valueless

That kind of sounded wrong. What I ment was a CCW that is recognized by every state. I just ment that insted of states not having or not recognizing another states CCW permits. Hell its like driving, you get a drivers license in one state and you can drive anywhere in the US. That what I was getting at, a nationally recognized CCW, sorry about the confusion.

Why do you want to license a "right"? If there was a national recognition of the RIGHT to Open Carry and RIGHT to possesson by the US Supreme Court (ie, something like Idaho's 1902 ruling in "in re Brickley") all the states would fall in line on Concealed Carry in an instant...they would not want everyone OCing.

I am not saying to license it, I am saying that it should be recognized the same. In my perfect world if you have a CCW, you would be able to carry ANYWHERE in the US. I am comparing the reciprocity to having a drivers license and it being recognized in the whole country, not just certain states. That is simply what I was saying. When I applied for my drivers license, it was issued by North Carolina, but I could drive in any state(hence recognized federally) .I just wish that if someone is issued a CCW( which I feel should be a right to any non felon ) that they can go to any state with that weapon concealed and carry it with the permit recognized. I also feel that a right, established by the people and recognized by the federal government, should supercede ANY state law. I highly doubt this would ever happen but again it is what I personally, would like to see happen.

I would like to see the NRA aggressively enforce the 2nd Amendment in every state, now that the US Supreme Court (USSC) is 5 to 4 conservative again.

When complete, all the 50 states and DC would have similar compliance as does Arizona now.

And I am wondering what is the NRA waiting for?

Introducing any anti-gun legislation = conspiracy to violate constitutional rights = removal from office. Or better, prison. I'm kinda grumpy today.
