what does this magazine fit? .22lr

my buddy gave me this magazine cause it doesnt fit anything he has. it was thrown into a batch of colt woodsman magazines my buddy bought but it isnt a woodsman magazine. dimentions are 0.445 by 1.070 inch and its about 4.3 inches down the back of it. it holds 10 roungs.

the reason i am trying to identify this magazice is so i can sell it accurately. with that said, anyone who wants it can have it for 20 dollars shipped anywhere in the 48 states

i know this post should be in the for sale section but i thought since im trying to identify it then it could also go here. if this is a problem then it is perfectly ok with me if a moderator wishes to delete this thread.

I can't say for sure, but it looks like my buddy's Savage model 64 .22 rifle magazine. The Walmart here sells them in sporting goods, so you might want to stop by and compare them.

I think thats a Smith 41/2206/622/422 magazine.

Since I cannot be 100% sure, Im weary of buying it. If I coul be sure, Id take it right now.

I just measured the magazine from my 422, and I am 99.99 percent sure that thats what it is. The follower isof a bit different design, but it is quite similar.

patrol120, i looked at a few s&w 41 mags on ebay and a few auctions have good pics but the base of mine is a sharper angle than the ones i see online. also, i think my notch is at a different place. the photo i was looking at was bigger than real life but the ratio looked off. not off by much but off. i held my mag up to the screen and the notches were the same distance from the top exept the screen image had another inch or so length due to the image being blown up. does that make sense? also, my mag doesnt have any button on the side to help in loading it. the following auction has an image exactly the correct size on screen. the notches dont line up. mine is lower.

the notch matches exactly. i wonder why all the 41 mags i compared it to didnt have the notch matching? judging my the auction i linced to above, im gonna have to say that i think you win. you were right about it.

anyway, if you are interested in this magazine hows this for a deal, ill ship it to you and after you test it if you want it you can pay 20 dollars then. if it doesnt work or is the incorrect mag, send it back to me. does this sound good to you?

A S&W 41 mag woulkd very likely have a S&W marking on the floorplate. Mine do.

The 41 and 422/622/2206 series mags are 100% interchangeable. My 422 mag, which I happen to know is the factory mag, has no markings on it other than round count markings.

The mags for my 41 have a simple "S & W" on the floor plates. These are the factory mags that came with the gun in 1980.

i dont think we will ever find out what it really fit, because the user patrol120 never returned it from test fitting it in his gun. maybe he lost internet or forgot, or somthging, but after 2 months of waiting for him to return it im gonna have to call that a 'lost clip'. patrol120, if your reading this, drop a brutha a line and lemme know whats up.
