When a gun owner brags that his revolver has a "rock solid tight lock up," what's he trying to say?

Were I buying a gun, how would I check to determine whether if it was too loose or not?

the sticky thread at the top of the revolver forum.

tight lockup means just that. It doesn't rattle like an altoid can full of washers. The cylinder doesn't waggle like a dog's tongue when it's supposed to be locked in position.
Tight means tight.

Just click the link I posted.

The same "Sticky" thread is four down from the top in the revolver forum you are posting in.

I'm a little dense, I finally figured it out — you undoubtedly meant the Jim March article. Thank you very much, it was very helpful to me.
