Thinking about picking up another varmint/target rifle in 223. (Already own a couple 22-250s). Looking at either SPS tactical or CZ 527 euro. I had pretty good luck years ago with an SPS varmint so I lean toward the Remington but I’m always willing to try something new and was curious if anybody had any trigger time behind the CZ. Thanks. (I’ve owned Savages, Rugers, etc and will own these brands in the future but really only looking at these two now.)

My SPS came in a sorry excuse for a stock, which I changed. I've never been tempted to change a CZ stock, and they bed quite nicely.

OTOH, the market for RemAge nutted barrels is growing, but no CZAge yet.

Never owned a CZ but have owned quite a few Remingtons and Winchesters. I still have a SPS VS Stainless that I've owned for 10 years. I'm not a big fan of the SPS stock and have replaced it on the one I own as well as the trigger. For an adjustable trigger I could just barely get it below 6 lbs.

When it comes to Remington my biggest complaints are the stocks and triggers. Change these 2 items and they are fine rifles.

I have a care I carbine, and for a walking varmint rifle it is just awesome. But for a bench gun style the Remington may be better if you can get a good one. If it was me though CZ all the way.
