What Gun Are You Carrying Now?

This is a nice thread to revive from time to time...It is always an interesting topic. As always there are a fair number of revolvers carried. The 1911 style is always well represented.

I still have not changed. I am carrying my Kahr K9. It is a great gun.

. . . What gun are you carrying now?

I have a Smith M38 "Bodyguard" in .38 Special in my pocket as I write.
I take this to mean, right this minute, as you read this screen. Not, "What I usually carry when all geared up to go bounty hunting in inner-city Chicago." Not, "While woodswalking in grizzly country," or "What I keep next to my cot in The Green Zone."

The original premise is what makes this an interesting topic. ;)

Glock 30

with a flush 9 rd mag in the front right zipper pocket of my Columbia Roc pants. Yes, its in a holster that covers the trigger guard. It's comfortable, easily accessable, and no one here at work has the remotest idea I'm carrying. I feel very secure with the 10 rds of 185 grn +P Gold Dots it is loaded with, and the other 10 rds in the mag in my left pocket.

oops..

*right now* right now?

Just a Ti-Lite. the 6 inch model.

Um, gimme 15 seconds' warning and I can have the 870 on hand... do I fail this quiz?

Hello-

With the Virginia summer in full effect now, I pocket carry with this Smith 342 stoked with 135 gr Gold Dots.

Sometimes I still carry my 1959 Colt Commercial 1911 or Browning P-35 to remind myself of the winter weight!

Gotta love 12oz pocket revolvers...

Lately I've been carrying:

Sig Sauer P239 DAK in .40 S&W
Remington 165 Grain BJHP Golden Sabers
In a Kramer IWB that's attached to a Mitch Rosen belt.

In the colder months I carry:

Sig Sauer P229R DAK in .40 S&W
Remington 165 Grain BJHP Golden Sabers
In a Don Hume IWB

Back Up / Really Hot Weather Gun:

Smith & Wesson Model 340PD .357 Magnum revolver.
Federal 125 Grain JHP.
In a Mitch Rosen Pocket Holster or Ankle Holster.

When not at work....a Glock 19 loaded with Speer Gold Dots 124 gr JHP's in an Highnoon IWB "Bare Asset" Holster.

At this moment, none. I work in a university. It is not the kind of environment I'd want to expose my young, impressionable guns to.

Same thing I always carry.

C.D. 1911 with Rem Golden Sabers. Right now, one spare mag. Usually two, but the shirt I'm wearing right now prints the second mag, so no dice.

Right now, nothing on me but the 870 filled with Ranger 00 is under the bed and my P220 loaded with 230 gr Corbons is sitting next to the Surefire on the nightstand.

When at work I have to carry a Beretta 92FS (M9) pistol. Off duty since we do not have an off duty policy I find myself recently carrying my Colt Series 70 MK IV .45 Gov't Model.

Right now?

Well, I'm in shorts and a t-shirt so I'm SURELY not armed!!!

(Except for my little Kel-Tec P-32 that ya can't see, of course)

The little Kel-Tec is sooooo light that you can sometimes forget it is in your pocket . . . and you can carry it virtually anywhere undetected.

Nearby is my Kimber (first year) Ultra CDP .45. It is my usual CCW firearm . . . though the Kel-Tec is typically in the pocket too.

REVOLVERS? Well . . . they typically don't "pack" as narrow, but my favorite handgun PERIOD is the customized/tweaked S&W 25-2 .45ACP revolver below w/ a barrel chopped to 3 1/2." With six rounds in each moonclip, I can reload it as fast as I can an automatic. I've won a lot of pin matches with this revolver, and a few tactical matches too. And . . . as they say . . . it shoots "Six For Sure!"

I sometimes carry it in winter and take it with me a lot on trips.
