I'm trying to ID this gun. Belongs to a friend. He already tried calling Smith and Wesson and couldn't get through and he's waiting for an email response. Thought I'd throw it up here and see if anyone knows what it is...
The model number is usually stamped on the inside of the crane. Just open the cylinder and look for something like 10-1, or such that should be the model.
It indicates a change or addition to the model. This guide (below) didn't say what change the 64-4 included, but may be helpful nonetheless. One of the other guys may be able to say specifically what -4 represented. Good luck.
I got a chance to play with one exactly like it a while back, only it had Pachmayer grips.
I did not like the short sight radius but other than that it was a quality piece.
