I've spent the past hour and a half looking at what gun laws do. It saddens me to know that there are people who call themselves Americans trying to do the same thing here. Moderators, if this isn't the correct place to put this let me know. I just felt compelled to help people see whats creeping up on us.

Its happening here... People are standing by and letting it happen. Its starting here in California. I have spoke with many gun owners here in Cali and they are clueless about the future with even more restrictive laws. Its about damn time we make the politicians get back to working for us, the voters!

What can we do? If you rally everyone (the anti's)acts like your some kind of nutt job. When will the people take this threat seriously. This made me sick! To see all these people being stripped of their right to defence and it's happening here! I tell you what, I'll be at any rally around here! How do we send a clear message that this isn't going to happen here to "our" leaders?

well...

All it will take, to reduce America to the stone age...is for the "authorities" to throw the switch at the power stations, shut down the phone service, the Internet access etcetera, for 3 days, and the America we know can be over....just like that. You won't even know what hit ya.:what:

No, Bruce. All that will do is reduce government-tended sheepfolds to the stone age. The self-reliant will get by just fine.

In Ca. back when we were having our reps. vote on the 'assault weapons' measure I called my guys local office to let them know how I felt about it yes/no. This guy had actually advertised in the papers that he wanted to know how we wanted him to vote. Naturally, I didn't get to talk to him personally. But the person maning the phone. Before letting on how I would vote I asked him how the vote count was going. He responded that it was like 80% against. Keep in mind, this was not the first day of taking calls on this issue. I purposely waited till a couple days from the end of this count to cast my vote. Can you guess how he voted? You got it, a big fat yes. This was just another case of our politicians trying to make us feel like we actually counted. When your vote doesn't count, YOU don't count. Gun laws have become laws of commerce. Example--What's the difference between you walking down a street unarmed and say a diamond broker allowed to carry . The diamonds, right? So the gun is there to protect the goods, not the person.
