Say, you have your home defense set up done already: Reliable home defense handgun that you're accurate with, trained with, shoot thousands of rounds out of...and pretty much your ultimate top favorite/pride and joy. Done!

All of a sudden you get a nice bonus check and all the bills have been paid, you don't owe anyone anything...now it's time to purchase get a fun gun for no particular reason.

Fun Gun = no purpose gun; but something just to have-you may end up keeping or selling-hopefully keeping; doesn't matter, it's a fun gun to have.

What "Fun Gun" would you pick up, "just because"?

I'd try my hand on a 10mm Glock model 20, if I EVER go camping.:D

If we are talking any gun: Saiga-12

If we are talking handguns only: some sorta big beastly revolver, probably ruger, in a hefty caliber something like .44magnum or larger.

The Ruger Bearcat definitely falls into this category. They are fun to own, fun to shoot, fun to look at, fun to clean, fun to have around. I've got three of them at the moment ... nice little guns.

I would like to have a single action revolver, like the old west style. But then again I really don't think I could run out of guns that I would find uses for. What I really want is a Rock River AR. The purpose behind that is that I have a good fast repeating semi-auto incase I ever need to defend my country from enemies both foreign and domestic.

S&W 617 6" Bbl. 10 shot cylinder

I got it for practice DA shooting to go with my
625 5" Bbl. .45 ACP and it does well for that but I
also take it to the range because it's just plain fun to
shoot it - that it is economical is a bonus.

Funny you mention the Glock 20, I just picked one up this week :)

As far as fun goes, typically I like mine to be cheap to shoot, so that means 9mm or a .22 ish.

Beretta 92FS, accurate, reliable, inexpensive and looks cool

Just about any .22, cheap to buy and shoot. I have had good luck with a Browning Buckmark

I'm thinkin' .22 NAA mini master with mag and LR cylinder. Perhaps a Ruger Bearcat or a Single Six. It needs to be a .22, though, because .22s are pure fun and awesome cheap and no reloading of brass is necessary to shoot cheap. It just don't get no funner than a good .22. If you must go auto, Ruger or Buckmark or Walther, or one of the Smiths, or ........

My Anschutz Exemplar 22LR - pistol with 1,5-4x pistol scope (and Arisaka 38 9,3x57 Mauser rifle with iron sights).

All kinds of things. Ruger Mark i,ii,iii. Ruger Bearcat or Single Six.

Black Powder, cap and ball revolver. Nothing better than black powder for fun.

i think i would like one of those remington bolt action single shot pistols, i think it was called an xp100 or something like that, with a nice scope, just set up for very accurate target shooting.
