What gun would you consider as a "Fun Gun"?

I guess for each of us it is different.

For me, when my needs were met I started on two different wants:
1) Even though MD is not a carry state I got into carry guns (justifying it based on the few occasions I can carry out of state, and the slim chance that MD may go CCW someday- but then why more than half a dozen carry type guns).
2) Woods guns: Guns that can be used for bear or mountain lion defense when camping. Nevermind that I haven't had time to go camping in several years or that I've never seen a bear or mountain lion except at the zoo.

My future fun gun is the Pedersoli LePage duelling pistol. I have wanted to own an accurate single-shot muzzleloading pistol for a while. In the near future, this will be my fun choice.

I've always had this "bug in my butt" about purchasing an Automag in a .30 Carbine rd. I have plenty of ammo from my M-1 and I bet it would be a "blast" to shoot....:)

A gun with no purpose other than fun? My kid's airsoft stuff bits that criteria. Even my Daisy CO2 pistol could take down a dinner squirrel with a pellet if I was that hungry. Seriously ALL my guns are fun guns but to me if they fire gunpowder they have utilitarian purposes as side effects. My Saiga 12 is a lot of fun gun but I keep it handy for my home security. My last two purchases have been 22s, a 22/45 pistol and a 10/22 rifle. Either of those could be used against varmints and small game.

My SS Bearcat and my NAA Mini in 22S. Of course, they could shoot in a SD situation but they were bought for fun.

I would like to get a 22 LR Sharps clone, a Le Mat BP revolver and a Schofeld 38 SPL shorter barrel for fun.

Desert Eagle, .357mag, titanium-gold! :D - SOMEDAY!

My Rossi .22 pump is a VERY fun gun, that does not cost a fortune to go through ammo either...

The gun I consider the most fun is the .22 my brother gave me for my ninth birthday, yes I still have it after all these years!

It's a Ruger Nylon 66. Fourteen round butt loading magazine, four and half pounds, can be fired off hand like a pistol if you want, and will empty the mag as fast as you can pull the trigger. It's one of the originals that was bought in 1961 and cost $66 new (hence the name). My brother originally traded a bow for it.

When I go shooting I love to take that and about two-thousand rounds of ammo and just see how much more that old rifle will take. I've had many, many hours of fun out of that gun and it will be one of the few hangers I own (for sentimental reasons) when it finally bites the dust. Then of course I will have to find a good replacement (good luck with that).

Any or all of these, S&W K22, K38, or Model 41 and about 10,000 rounds of good ammo. Another XD45 Tactical but this one set up for match shooting, and 10,000 rounds of ammo. Either a Remington 40X, Winchester 52D or comparable Anschutz with a good scope and 10,000 rounds of Ely ammo. Also wouldn't mind having either a good 30-06 or 308 target rifle and plenty of ammo.:D

Like others have said all of em are fun....
My friends Dad is in the enviable position of buying all "fun guns" now. His pistol collection numbers into the 30's now. When we all go to the range its a hoot. We shoot everything from Sigs, Cz's, Berettas, Taurus, Ruger, Kimbers, S&W, etc. etc. For the pure amusement factor not much beats the Desert Eagle we shoot. While we do shoot a Raging Bull in 454 Casull, when that DE goes off people are amazed. Something about a large caliber autoloader I guess. He also has that Taurus 45 long colt .410 shotgun shell pistol. Thats a fun gun to shoot too. Turns pumpkins into mush:rolleyes: Make no mistake fun guns are expensive to shoot. We have just recently added a AR-10 50 BMG into the lineup (no scope yet - cant wait to shoot that bad boy). At $4.00 a shot that gets pricey fast.

For my money I get the most fun from my Kimber 45 and my Rock River AR-15 scoped with a Leupy tactical. Both are tack drivers, and I like when all my bullet holes touch each other!

I have a couple that I consider waaaayyy up on the "Fun Gun" list..

A Single Six with both .22LR & .22Mag cylinders

MKII autoloader

Lo at this very moment (give me five minutes, if you want a completely different opinion), I'd be most interested in either ...

1) an EEA Witness in any of several calibers (unless I were to buy reloading dies at the same time for something else, it would be in either .45 or 9mm, though). 10mm would be fun, if I were set up to make all the 10mm I wanted :)

2) a Cz-83 in .380 (or, again, with reloading dies as part of the deal, and reloadable Makarov brass, in 9mm Makarov).

And, depending on the budget you have, the other fun gun that I'm very interested in firing, an FN five-seven :) Too rich for my blood, though.

S&W K-22:best trigger ever made, cheap and fun to shoot, target quality!

I guess I'm getting a little nostalgic, but what the hey, I was a boob tube baby, heck I used to listen to the Lone Ranger on the radio before mom and dad could afford a TV, so I'm kinda biased, Cisco Kid and Pancho carried 'em Lash LaRue carried one or two I can't remember(having a CRS attack)
I know the Duke carried one,but my
fun gun would be the ole tried and true THUMBUSTER , centralfire of course. How could you leave that SILVER BULLET with out one?
