What Handgun Do You Keep Coming Back To?

Glocks and S&W J-frames. Other guns have more cool-factor and get more oohs and ahhs. But none are more practical.

S & W revolvers they just seem to be coming up for good prices and who can resist that.

I just can't break away from Hi Powers. I have a 1911, and I still like revolvers, but I think my serious pistol will probably always be a Hi Power.

Most of my handguns are 45's. But the one I can't seem to leave alone is my Ruger P89DC.

Strangely enough, I keep coming back to a 2-1/4" Ruger SP101 .357 mag. It is just a handy, sturdy little revolver that is easy to conceal and won't wear out until long after I do.

Glock 30. For all my 1911s -- with which I would never part, no matter how much money was on the table -- and all the other Glocks I own, the G30 is fast becoming my absolute favorite.

For me, it's a perfect concealed carry weapon. And I'm finding it's my preferred weapon of choice for sports shooting, GSSF competition, and would be my first choice if I ever had to pick up a gun if the SHTF.

Colt Det. Special. I have a collection of all kinds of handguns but this is the one I usually leave the house with tucked in an IWB holster plus six rounds of 38 spec. +P's in a pocketed speed strip. I have tinkered with plenty of other CCW options but this is the mode I always find my way returning.

A quality 1911 is the bomb for me. Feel, trigger amd accuracy beats all comers for me. I'll never own anything other autos, except .22 plinkers.

I'm rather Fond of the S&W M29 in .44 I learned revolvers on.

Nice heft, comfortable grip, and a nice, satsfying BANG when you set it off.

The off duty works fine for me

I would have to say my off duty weapon is my gun of choice. 95% of the time I carry my Glock 23, but sometimes will carry the HK USP Compact 40.

What handgun do I keep coming back to?

The Sig Sauer P220.

I can't help but agree that these are the finest production guns available. I usually carry my .357SIG - but recently I bought an amazing holster for my P-220, and since then I've had trouble wanting to carry anything else. The fact that winter is here now just gives me all the more reason to carry my favorite full-size .45ACP.

This wonderful holster I speak of is the Bianchi Snaplok (#84) OWB, by the way. Absolutely a must have for anyone who owns or carries a P-series Sig - it fits all Sig pistols except the P230 and P232.
