We have seen a good deal this year. We got Heller, which may certainly open some doors for the further protection and preservation of Second Amendment Rights. It may also open doors to challenge laws in other, usually Anti states, like the cases and reports many of us have heard about going on in Illinois non-Chicago areas. But we have also heard of ammo stamping and serial number requirements that a few choice anti states seem relentless to push. There has been bashing of the Second Amendment by the ACLU, Democratic Politicians, and yes our soon-to-be President. We will have to wait and see what Obama does, personally I'm pretty stocked up and am focused on ammo.

But Nordyke is coming slowly through the chains of our judicial system and may make it to the Supreme Court by the middle of 2009, and we may get the state incorporation of Heller that we want. The NRA is growing, the number of gun owners is growing, and a recession is likely to come(or is it already here, I keep getting confused by CNN). Our government is rife with corruption, yet the government occassionally stammers to say that it knows what is best for us (hookers, bribery, drug addiction, oh my) in regards to gun ownership.

Now what has been this last year for you and what do you think this new one will be for you. Gun related of course.

I went and took the Basic Pistol Instructor Certfication course and expect that the NRA will okay me (I don't even have a speeding ticked and I'm in law school) to be an instructor. I hope to bring more folks over to the fold and now if I take the proper steps I can get folks their annual membership for $25 and hope to sign some folks up. I'm glad I finally got mine. Admittedly what little in proceeds I get (I don't have a deal with a range so I'll be doing private teaching of folks I know) will go to improving my marksmanship and ventures into turning non-gunnies into gunnies. I hope to finish my AK kits (only putting an hour into them a day, just need to cut the trunnions for them, and heat treat the receiver), and I don't think I'll be able to not buy a, stressing 'a', another recreational handgun (can still pickup a couple more rifles) besides the .22lr SA/DA revolver I plan to get to teach the class.

Of course I hope to get my mentorships done for my mediation certifications to make more money, get my reloading setup completed, and pickup some more parts kits. I hope to get a FAL and finish stocking up my .308Win to five hundred rounds of reloadable, and a thousand of non-reloadable. I hope to start molding bullets from scrap lead and commercial ingots. Maybe pickup a 91/30 Nagant rifles and some 1600+ surplus ammo. I know a lot spending, but this is a whole year of spending spread out.

And as usual I'll hope for peace on earth, because then there'll be a whole lot surplus ammo selling cheap LOL!!!
