What have you been shooting?

Mostly Trap, @ 3000 this year. The majority of that through my Ljutic, but a few rounds each with my 870 TB, Ithaca SBT, 1100 Competition (It got shot a lot this year-just not by me) and Model 12.
Perhaps 2-300 .223, about 60 7.62x54R, same of 7.62x39, maybe 50 through my .22 rifle, and 200 .45 ACP. Not as much of each as I'd like.

I'm determined to make at least one case of .223 and 500rds of 9mm disappear this year. I'll have to have a couple good range days to do it though, probably by myself. The couple few people I'd go with like to pack up after an hour or so.... sick of shooting? Ever heard of such a thing? If I had my way and the time I'd spend all day at the range and be happy as a pig....

Sadly I have not been out shooting in a long time. I'm too tired to go after work. By the time my days off come around I'm too exhausted and have so many other things to do.

I can definitely relate to that. Although it's weird, as soon as the lock downs started and for the couple months I was laid off, one of the silver lining thoughts I had was "at least I'll be able to go out shooting anytime I want". I don't know if I ever went shooting in all that time. It was a strange time. Depressing.

The poop. And 22s. With my new range buddy my son. He is 12 now so the indoor ranges will let him. He’s getting better! But not as good as his dad.

In normal times I would shoot weather permitting on Saturdays. This year not so much. I have a reasonable amount of ammunition inventory so the lack of is not a problem. It simply maybe my age has caught up with me in my seventh decade of life.

I have been limiting my shooting to just .22LR, pretty much just my S&W K22 and my Anschutz 1712 but I have been going through my leftover bulk ammo and saving my SK stuff. Soon I will either have to buy more bulk or start in on my CCI SV stash of ammo. I also am more particular on the weather of the days tat I do shoot since I really can’t resupply my ammo stash.

He'll pass you up soon enough. My oldest did (at rifle anyway) at 16, we're about even at shotgun, I'm still better at pistol. But like Quigley, it's not that he doesn't know how to use one, he just has little use for one. Still, he's taken a deer with one, I have yet to do so.
