What have you shot today?

I shot my air pistol today. Yesterday, seeing how the snow had melted from a warm spell I grabbed some guns and headed to the range 35 miles away. They still had snow and I brought autoloaders. I want my brass back.

10 magazines of 45 ACP in my Les Baer M1911 Wadcutter. Having a red dot on top has really improved my hit probability at 50 yards!

80 rounds through my Sears Ranger .22LR. This rifle is a Sears branded Stevens M416, was made as a target rifle prior to WWII. It is a wonderful rifle to practice offhand.

I also got to shoot someone's else guns! :D

I shot a 327 Federal Magnum in a Ruger revolver. That was loud and it had unpleasant recoil.

And I got to shoot 45 LC in a AWA Longhorn. That Colt SAA replica had an incredibly smooth action. Tiny period sights though. Shot well.

It took me longer to clean my firearms than to shoot them. Nothing gets put back dirty.

After church and after Sunday dinner (black-eye peas, collards, mashed potatoes, pork chops,
cornbread and buttermilk and sweet tea)

Spent an hour with my grandson (five years old) shooting his Red Ryder air rifle.

We had a few Dirty Bird Splattering Targets taped to a cardboard box.

It was our first warm day and rain free day in weeks.

A very nice Sunday afternoon.
