What is the absolute cheapest 22lr ammo you can buy.

I'm curious mostly for academic purposes (assuming pre panic) what is/was the absolute cheapest 22lr ammunition you could have gotten three month ago?

Not best, not best for the price but the absolute cheapest.

Blazers here, too, which is cool, because my 10/22 likes them.The best .22 is Armscor, the stuff is magic! Shrank my groups to half size.

$16 or so is about what I remember last seeing the Winchester 550-count boxes going for in Wal-Mart several months ago.
But, it doesn't run well in any of my semi-automatics, which include two Rugers (10/22 and Mk-II.)

I've got a 50-cal ammo can full of mixed 22s I picked up in batches of range brass. Probably 40 pounds worth. Nearly all of them will probably fire.

Are you sure this was for a 5M case? That sounds more like a 5 brick case (2500).

If that price were right, a 500 round brick would be <$9.00 that would definitely be the cheapest anywhere.

Around here sale price for single boxes in the past four years has remained consistent at $15.97 for 525 rounds in Federal bulk and Remington bulk packs.

Naturally, case lots of 1000, 2500 or 5000 rounds from internet retailers would result in even lower per round prices.

Walmart has 225 rds of Remington GB for $10 the last time i was there.

Right now none!!! All the internet vendors I normally use are out. None of the LGS have any either. And no one can say when they will have any.

Guess I'll check out a local gun show this weekend - but I really don't expect cheap or to bring any home.

The only relatively inexpensive .22LR ammo that I could find was Remington. No Federal, CCI, Winchester bulk packs to be found anywhere.

Walmart still has $15.97 bulk packs (550 rounds), but they sell out the morning they arrive in stock.
