I recently acquired a Smith&Wesson model 52 and I am ready to start reloading for it. I am hoping someone out there can give me some advice on what loads have worked best for them!
148 grain wadcutter seated flush, of course.
2.7-3.0 grains of Bullseye or whatever other fast burning powder you might have around that you have data for 700-750 fps.
I use 3.2 gr Win 231 and a Speer HBWC in mine.
Hey....welcome to the club.....They are great guns and will last forever at .38Spl pressures...... Here is my copy: hereand here
Anyway, about the reloads, mine shot better with a little bit zippier load than the normal 2.7gr of Bullseye under a HBWC. Also, my 52 did not like the HBWC, and it shot better with the DEWCs......
I have some nice reloading data here. Just click on the .357 tab at the bottom.....
I am sure, if you did a little research before buying that you learned about the shooting and follow through with this gun. Very important. If you are not really concentrating and focusing on shot placement after the trigger breaks, accuracy will not be at its best.
