What is the deal with the "disappearing" combat trigger guards???

Good! Now maybe they can take away light rails and forward slide serrations back also.

QFT!

For 1911s, I hope they take back FLGRs, beaver-tail grip safeties, and skeletonized hammers.

Hooked trigger guard

I used the good old Dremel tool and ground down the most obnoxious part of my
Glock 22. I also have a conversion barrel for 9mm that I use more than the .40 caliber. My wife and I both appreciate the clean curve of our modified trigger guard. Just did it to stamp my own individuality on the gun.

Except we're talking about trigger guard grooves which are useless. Light rails and forward slide serrations are useful.

Useful for what? Marketing? A light on a carry gun? Indentations on a slide to make it look like a race gun? Please.

I could care less about serrations other than looks but I have a light on my carry gun. Not everyone thinks like you

The early Beretta 92 pistols had the more aethetically pleasing round trigger-guard. All ix of my Beretta 92 variations have the round trigger-guard....both of my Taurus 92/99 pistols have the hooked trigger-guard. I can work with either style.....but my preference is the rounded TG.

If you are interested in looking at the old and newer styles of the Beretta 92, take a stroll thru the Brad Taylor Collection. There is even a shoulder-stocked 92!
